I am going to Ilo Ilo this coming March 23 with my two aunts, one uncle and my younger brother. We will spend our Lenten vacation there. In our ticket, it is written there that our departure time is 2 pm and the exact arrival in Ilo ilo is 12 NooN the other day so it will be a long trip at the ocean. We are all excited. Please wish us a nice trip. lol
Have you experienced to ride in a ship?

Yes, I have. It was a 3-day cruise from California to Mexico. I did not really like the idea of being on an ocean for days, especially that I am not a good swimmer. I tried to enjoy the cruise as much as I could. It was paid by the company I worked for as employees bonding experience; if I were to pay myself, I'd probably prefer to take a land or air ride instead.

really? if it's a cruise ship, i thought there would be a lot of activities to "fill in the hours."

There was. And I tried to spend most time dining at the restaurant or hanging around the casino. I did not really like staying up on the deck too much. It reminded me of being on a large ocean when I'm up there. But when I'm inside, I can somehow forget that I'm actually floating on water and not standing on land.

actually i still never had a try to ride in a ship or even a plane, but i wanted someday to have a try so that i could also experience it in my life riding in a ship, but i feel a little beat frightened when i ride in ship because old people in my native land said that having a hair whorl in the part of your forehead is not advisable to have a ride in a ship because it will bring bad luck to the ship.

The only journeys that I have made by boat have been crossing the English Channel. I have sailed from Portsmouth to Jersey a few times and also from Harwich to the Hook of Holland. I rather enjoyed the experience, although I have not sailed across the ocean at any time.

Hi,
I have traveled by small launch or motor boat from our city to Mumbai. It takes only two hours to reach. But I haven't experienced a journey by a ship for such long hours. It must be exciting experience. You have the company of your aunts, uncle and brothers so you would have lots of fun together. I wish you a nice and happy trip by ship.

I've experienced it before. From Cebu to Manila and vice-versa. I was scared at first because I tend to suffer from carsickness and was worried that it's the same with seasickness. But lo and behold, I actually enjoyed the trip! I have sea legs after all! If you get tired of touring the ship you can always nap in your bunk by the way. Happy trip to you!

Trips on a boat or ship are very exciting. I also had the oportunity to travel an a ship and on a Ferry. The first one was from the south of Spain (a town called Cádiz) to Tenerife (Canarian Islands). It tooks us two complete days, so we also slept on there. We had our cabine where to sleep, there were restaurants on the ship, even a small swimmingpool, we passed almost all the time on the desk. The Ferry I took was between the Canarian Islands, from Tenerife to La Gomera, which takes about ninety minutes. Also a wonderfull trip with restaurant and stores on it and enough space to go for a walk on the top. I really love it. But some people have to take a pill at least half an hour before leaving to avoid sickness.
