Could you go out of your house with only $3.00 or Php 100.00?

No Credit Cards, No ATMs. Just your good old bill (peso). Could you go out with just that? Let's say you don't really need to go somewhere, you just need to hang out with friends for a while (perhaps it's too hot in your house). You don't have expected expenses or so. Could you leave the house with only that amount in your pocket? :)

100php is enough for me to go somewhere that is not so far and not so near place. Everyday I am going to school with an 100php amount of allowance everyday. I can buy food and drinks and there's still change that will be going to my savings.

Well yeah, but what if you're going somewhere apart from school? School is very basic because you're going to spend the whole day there. You don't really need to spend much because your attention is on studying. But let's just say you're going out with friends or going for a stroll in the city, could you live with Php100.00? Thanks for the thoughts, have a great mylot experience ahead!

Hi ! Yes i can go out with that amount of money in the wallet , why not ? I can hike going to my destination and can already eat in food chain or in small but clean fastfood center. It depends in a lifestyle of a person. If he is used in eating in a restaurant or in an expensive fastfood then this 100 is not enough.

Yeah, hiking is good and healthy but it's too hot in my tropical country to go hiking ~ this could result in heatstroke these days of summer! hehehehe.. But yeah it does depend on the lifestyle of the person. I guess it depends too where the person is going. Thanks for sharing, have a great mylot experience ahead!

Although I have to say that I do like to always have access to a debit card when I leave the house in case of some kind of an emergency, I would actually be able to leave the house with only that in my pocket if I didn't have any other kind of an alternative. In fact, there have been several times that I've left the house with only a handful of change on me. The vast majority of the time when I leave the house I don't have any kind of a need to have access to money at all.

If I was on my own I probably could. I live in Poland and over here things are pretty cheap, you could buy a couple of pastries to much on for that much. But honestly, I don't think anyone should leave the house with only $3, its not that much and if you're going out with friends there is always a chance you might see something or want to do something that you have to pay for. When it comes to paying and they see you have pennies in your wallet they'll probably think it silly. Its always safe to have a sensible amount of many at hand. I don't mean millions but for an emergency or when you see a good opportunity, this money stops you from restricting yourself which isn't always a good thing, you could miss out on opportunities in life if you do this.

But if you do this you could also avoid bad decisions on buying something you don't really need. hehehe.. But yeah, it would be quite difficult if you're with friends, but quite possible if you're on your own. Hmmm.. now wanting to check out Poland. hehehe. Thanks for sharing, have a great mylot experience ahead!

If I have my own car, I think I'll survive with just P100. At least I don't have to worry about transportation expenses because commuting can be expensive (well, depends on the place). I'll just tell my friend I'm on a tight budget so we don't have to eat somewhere fancy :) for sure the friend will understand. Who knows, he might even treat me :))

It depends on what is on the agenda. However, I never leave our neighborhood without my driver's license, military ID, and credit card. I may not spend a penny nor drive a car, but I like to be prepared in case of an emergency.

With what I have in my wallet right now, yes I could. I could go out to eat or even go to the movies or both. If I was going on a date I could probably manage it on what I have in my wallet right now. That is, for example, if I took her out to eat and to a movie. And I would have some left over. But I definitely use the ATM on a weekly basis. And I don't use credit cards anymore.

That's a good question. I take my plastic for granted I think. I know if visiting my daughter or parents I don't worry about it. Going and hanging out at a friends house is another story. Sad part is we aren't really a cash based world anymore.

Before, I could not leave the house without having atleast 500 pesos with me. I feel lost really. When prices went up, I feel that 500 pesos was not enough so I need to have at least 1000 pesos inside my wallet. Well you know, just in case. But lately, since I do not have a stable job, I would find my wallet having just a few peso. Poor me! I wouldn't ask my husband to give me money just so my wallets can have some nor ask my mom. So one time, I went to fetch my son from school. I only had about 50 pesos. I felt weak....if it was not for fetching my son, I wouldn't really go anywhere.

Hi laydee! Well, yes. I can even eat in Jollibee with that amount. We live in a small city and we can walk to the place we want to go. Or if we want to go to the bigger mall, we just have to spend 16 pesos for the fare back and forth. Have a great day!

no..i can't. Always rememeber money means a lot.. . Bible says make sure of all things..

Yes, I can. In fact, I often only carry around 80 php. It's enough for bus fare. Plus a lil bit of walking does its wonders. No eating except when someone foots for my bill though.

Hanging out with friends means a lot of things. Just walking and chilling thru the city without anything then this amount is fine. But to go drinking with them then this amount could not even buy you a cup of coffee in a decent coffee shop at where I am now in Europe. This 100 pesos, if I would be in the Philippines now, yeah, I could still go drinking with them. Either they would treat me for my booze or I barrow money from them which would be forgotten anyway coz we just got too wasted. That's what friends are for.lol. Then it is my turn when I get the money next time.:)

Hi, I work full time but I often go to work with not even a single peso in my pocket. I walk to work, go home home walking. If I have money, there it shall remain until the next payday. I have no hangups if I have no money, I will still survive the next day.

Actually no. That amount is only good for one meal. What about the fare? When I feel I don't have enough money on pocket when outside I feel crippled. Not sure why. So no, i never bring a small amount when I go out especially if I will be with my friends or special someone.

If I am still in the Philippines, yes I can. Especially if it's just me and I do not have anybody else with me to worry about. But now that I am here, I would need at least my credit card or my ATM card.

I leave my home all the time with that there is so many things you can do and to think you don't have to buy a thing but lets just say if your walking and well you need to buy water or a soda or something well you got the money to buy it so yes not a issue
