@KLiberman I have never boon to Mexico, but I have stayed in many towns across the world and that has always been my approach, find a local guest house or Bed and Breakfast then find a place to stay. It is surprising how many places are available on company noticeboards, I have often found a place to stay within the first week (even if I can't move in for a little while).

You can buy property in Mexico.
Owning property in a foreign country is a lifetime dream for many. Non-Mexican citizens can buy property in Mexico. When using a reliable real estate agent (like one from DH Realtors, of course), …

I hope you gain much experience and enjoyment from your one year stay there down south in Mexico, our neighbor, south of the border. Enjoy. Have a wonderful experience.
