Yes there and I found this out yesterday! I am currently on vacation. It is Spring Break at the college i work at. I like to take vacztion this time of year because this week is so slow. Yesterday my boss called and told me the news. The president of the school resigned out of the blue tuesday! He was only hired last April to replace the retiring president! The new president started offically working last July! The new president even brought a former NFL player to be head of the athletic department! The new president had alot of big goals, too! Apparetnly our new president quite over something to do with the Board of Trustees. I am sure by next week I will know more about this! Until then I am shocked!

I am not to worried about this situation. It is still a shock because it happen all of a sudden. It shocked the hold college community! I am pretty sure things will go on as they have been. The college will hold off looking for another president until futher notice. Until then the man who is under the president is the interm president.

changes come and go. those who stay are truly the ones tested by time and effectiveness. well, other changes also stay because of the power of the individuals and institutions behind the changes. i regret that some good changes can not stay longer. many people resist any kind of changes, they are quite worried of the adjustments and losing their privileges and familiar advantages.

I have been on vacation all week and when I go back to work on Mondall find out I will find out more. I have a feeling some of the changes the president had high hopes for weren't going to happen bwcause of the board of trustees! I would not doubt there was a power struggle going on between them!

That is really shocking. It is unsettling when an organization has turnover. Are you worried about losing your job? I wish you all the best.

When this president started back last summer everyone who works at the college was scared of losing their job! A few people did! One was the athletic director, another was head of the finance department and the third was the the head of the international student admissions department. Right now with all this happening,I am pretty my job is safe! I hope it stays like that when a another president is hired!

It's really shocking when someone, especially of a higher position, suddenly decided to quit. There must be some big issues that lead him to resign.

I still don't know all the details yet. It must of been sometime pretty big to lead the new president to resign. I have been on vacation all week and I am sure next week when I retrun to work I will find out more. I do know the college will hold off looking for another president and the person who is under the president will be the interim president.
