Yesterday I read about an art course where you get the chance to meet several different artists. They are going to talk about their work and their lives. The students get the chance to meet photographers, sculptors, painters, wood carvers and many other people. During the course the students are also going to visit some of the art museums and galleries in the local area.
I am an artist myself, and I think that it could be really interesting to meet other artists and learn more their art. I think that I might be able to find new inspiration and learn things that I can use in my own art. Unfortunately I don't have the money for this course at least not at the moment, but it takes place in August, and I hope that I will be able to save up the money before August.
Which artists would you like to meet? Why are you interested in their art? If you are an artist yourself do you think that meetings with other artists inspired you?

In which way was your experience negative? I have never really met other artists, but I hope that I would get a better of the ones I meet if I decide to take that course and I hope that I would be able to learn something from them.

Two things often occur. They state the obvious, when your own eyes do the job just as well. And they manage to pick flaws in their own work but at the same time implying that no one else could have done that better anyway.
I just find their attitude extremely annoying in most cases.
Art is in the eyes of the beholder.
