Which mistakes did you make when you were new to online money making? Which things would you do in a different way today based on your experience?
I got interested in online money making in 2008 and the first sites that I joined were PTC sites. I thought that I was going to make a lot of money if I joined a lot of different sites, but instead I wasted a lot of time I didn't do any research and I just joined every site that I read about Neobux paid me, but the other sites were scams and because I had no experience I didn't see the signs that I would notice today.
At that time I didn't really notice the date when I read a review, but is one of the things that I would notice today because the fact the a site paid in the past doesn't always mean that they still pay today.

My mistake is wasting time on Neobux and Clicxsense. It took too long just to get a measly sum of money. Also my other mistake is using Ebay as a platform for selling. Ebay is too restrictive and fees too high. Third mistake is wasting time selling on a platform with almost non existent traffic.

Neobux paid me in the past, but I am not a member anymore. I also used to be a member of Clixsense, but I left before I reached payout. I agree with the things that you wrote about the time that we have to spend on those sites to get a small amount of money. It takes a lot of time and we also get a small amount of money in exchange for the time that we have spent on the site. I have never used Ebay, but I use a local site from my country that is similar to Ebay. So far I haven't sold much, but I still hope to sell some of my things through that site.

Few mistakes usually people do are:
1. Never pay upfront charges to get online job.
2. Don't expect easy income... (infact it is true for almost all occupations.)
3. Try to work in the field in which you have knowledge and do not jump into any job without knowing it well.
4. Remember one Gujarati proverb (translated here)..."where greedy people are available, no cheaters will sleep hungry."

I had never heard that proverb before, but I think that it is a useful sentence to remember. The first thing that you mentioned (people who pay upfront to get an online job) is quite common. I have read about online job scams where people have to pay a fee before they get a job. Some people who really need the extra money choose to pay upfront, and when they discover that it is a scam it is too late because they have already paid. I also agree with the thing that you wrote about easy income. Many people think that is will be easy to earn online and when they discover that it isn't as easy as they thought they get disappointed and give up.

I joined HYP in the past. I got scammed and lost lots of money. The sites that will scam usually pay in the first two or three months since they launched. After that they disappeared slowly on the grounds. that they experienced technical problems.

I am sorry to hear that you lost a lot of money. I have never joined any of them, but I have sometimes thought about it. I have heard the thing that you mentioned - that they only pay in the beginning, and I was in doubt if I could trust them or not. I found it tempting to try one of those sites, but in the end I decided to stay away from them because I had already been scammed by other sites. When I was new to online money making a joined so many different sites, because I had no experience, and 90% or more of those sites were scams that never paid me.

Same mistakes occur today! You have to take a risk if you need money. What it really comes down to is this - how much do you need to make in a year? I had a very clear plan, to pay for my domain registrations and website hosting charges from online earnings only. In other words, to pay the necessary Internet based fees without using a credit card online!
That was it! No other expectations, no desire to become rich, no false ideas.
If you haven't got a real need for Internet money, don't go looking for it because you will only be disappointed.

I think that there is a big difference between people who depend on the money that they make online and people who just sees the online earnings as extra money. Personally the money that I get from the internet is only extra money and my main income is my offline job. That is one of the reasons why I don't take big risks. It is not a big problem if I earn less than I expected because it isn't my main income. I don't expect to get rich, I just enjoy the extra money that I earn.

Hi Porcospino!
I am new to this online money making and I must say, I made and still make a lot of mistakes. I just signed up to different sites I saw that I think will help me earn although I have no idea how it works. My biggest mistake was not learning the hoops in online money making before I started signing up. I didn't realize that there are a lot of legitimate sites dedicated to help people succeed in making money online. Looking back, I should've researched first before going into this. But I have no regrets :)

I don't know if it would be a mistake on my part but one reason why it took me a longer time to know things around is that I don not know anybody doing this stuff so I tried everything using the trail and error method.
Although I learned a lot of things by myself but for me I should have somebody to ask about certain things. Well, at least I was able to make it this time. That is why I am trying to share the knowledge that I gained with my one year experience in the online world.
I know I still have a lot of things to learn about before I could finally say that hey, I am an expert on this field!
Have a great day!

I also used the trial and error method when I started to earn money online. Most of my friends aren't interested in online money making and I didnt have anyone to ask for advice so I simply experimented and learned from experience. I made mistakes especially in the beginning and I didn't really know how to find out if a site was legit or not.
Today I would do some research and look for reviews, scam reports and read about other people's experiences, but at that time I just joined the sites that I heard about without checking the sites. I think that is great that you are trying to share the things you have learned. I do the same thing. When I meet newbies who ask for advice I try to help if I can.

Its all trial and error for someone. Though also what works for one may not always work for another person.
