Give and take

I like the idea of giving and also taking. It is not always that one just gives and gets nothing in return. What makes you happy. Do you just give and expect nothing in return or just take and have no plans to give back. What has been happening in your life. What did you give and what did you take atleast in the recent past. Do share

It is always a wonderful feeling to receive something. And even though we really did not ask for it, but the fact that we are remembered gives us joy. I try to reciprocate the generosity any way possible.
I also the kind of person that loves giving things to people. It doesn't necessarily need to have an occasion. Like for my sister in law's twins, if I am at the mall and find something nice or I think that the kids would like, I will buy it for them. That also goes with other people close to me. I am not expecting anything. Just seeing them appreciate what I gave them is enough.

These little things make our day jenny and also become a part of our memories which are so necessary to muse about on a 'rainy day' 'when the day is done'.
Now about your sis in law some like to receive. Did I not say that?

Just two days ago, I sent my sister the Choco rhumbles I promised. And also, I have sent the same to my other sister in law. Well, my sister was so happy when she finally had them. She sent me a text message of thanks and also posted a pic of the treats on her Facebook and Instagram. I guess, she really loved them.
As for my sister in law, well, very typical of her, I sent her the treats and then she asked me to make reviewer for her daughter.

It depends for me. It all depends I guess, but I want give and
take relationship, but sometimes, I understood some people who
does not want to give something in return. Maybe they are just
like that and so, it is also fine with me even though I do not
expect a return from that person.

Atleast a kind word can go a long way when someone does us a favour or gives us something. One does not have to give back that way. But a kind word helps.

hi allknowing well for me its been a take lately as I came down with the flu and ran out of diabetic snacking supplies so I had to call my best friend Nelda and tell her that I had come down with the flu. She told me she would shop for me and leave the groceries at the front desk. so she would not catch my cold or flu. I am now better so am going out tomorrow after her work with her to the bank and then shop for a few essentials.

In your prime years you surely must have played a role that involved a lot of giving? Tell us a bit about it Hatley!

Give and take equal to compromise. In this context for this topic
is whether we are the taker or the giver. I love to have both, but
it will be great to receive more of the things that I wish for.
In my case of my son, he normally joined contest when he is young.
He won the prizes (taker) and he will give away some to the needy
(giver). So, I personally think we need to get or 'have' in order
to give. Receive with happiness and give with joy!

That is a perfect combination. Giving is not just material possessions but love and compassion.

I too am more of a giver but I feel nice if those who receive remember it.

Hi allknowing I really am one of those who prefer to give rather than receive, don't get me wrong when someone gives me something I enjoy it the surprise very much, but I never give in the hopes that I will receive, that is why I prefer to give. I help someone who is dear to me by buying groceries as they are in need of this that for me gives me joy. I also give to more people who are in need than someone who has plenty.

Expecting something in return is not a good thing. But who will not feel happy if one gets things. There is more to it than getting gifts. It is the thought that matters.
