So much to do and so little time! The show I plan on being at isn't till the end of June and I'm already feeling the pressure! Granted it's my first but after that I'll have most of the equipment I need for the fall craft show. It doesn't help that I have given myself the challenge of using up the inventory I already have so it will take less effort to do inventory after. That will also force me to design new candles for fall. I'm all about being unique. I want to give people the opportunity to be creative in their gift giving. It's hard to find thoughtful gifts for people who have everything and what they don't have they can easily buy. Being in the financial world for 35 years I remember the execs. who's "gifts were given to anyone who wanted their biscotti and scones in the break room. They were obviously from family and friends during the holidays. I want to change that!
Do you do arts and crafts and sell them? Do you have inventory on hand to help jump start the next show?

Of course you know I do....and I just finished my first show of the season..it was awesome! I am not in the process of going through everything...making sure it's in good condition and repacking it for the next time I do a show. (that's the worst part of doing the shows..packing and unpacking!) I do have inventory on had most of the time. Right now after a show it's low but I'll start doing more after I get the house situated again. Hopefully you'll have much success with your first show.

No shows around me. I quilt and have 4 quits on consignment at a local second hand store, but so far...not a bite. I have an Etsy shop for my quilts, again, not a bite. I have two more I am going to put in the store. I make custom pillow cases too... to match the quilts if possible and...no bites. I just wish something would sell!
Good luck to you. And yeah, get started ot for color changs between now and then..you know "fall colors" etc. Good luck tho! Candles are always a welcome decoration in a home!

Somewhere along the line I was warned about versatility as well as keeping the time factor down on the items I create. So I have a lot of separate curio pieces, a candle garden and I will be buying big gift baskets, splitting them in half and making two out of one and insert one of my corresponding candles; lavender w/lavender soap, ocean breeze, fresh linen, etc.

I am just starting out with crafting and will be selling online by the end of next month. I am working on quite a few things so I can sell. I am taking a jewelry making class next Thursday and am already doing a sewing class and a quilting class. I am having so much fun with these courses. I wish you the best of luck in your first craft fair.

I have made oodles of things and sold them over the years
Right now I'm concentrating on all-occasion wreaths
but in the past I've done handmade designer soaps and bath salts, gift baskets, and lots others
I'm getting ready for a craft show as well so I know the pressure you're talking about
I always have inventory on hand! There's always that unexpected order---you know? And it's so much easier if it's already there---no matter what I need it for

I knit but I don't sell, any of my knitting, I don't have time to do a craft show, I like going to them, I see some beautiful crafts, people have made, and it does make you want to buy them, because the are made so beautiful, I hope you have much success, with doing you craft show.
