The correct saying is:
"A friend in need is a friend indeed"
and it means that if someone is in need of your help, then he will behave as if he were a real friend, though he may not actually be one at all.
It is an ironic warning to say that not everyone who appears to be a friend really is one.

I also think it a friend is need is deed. I think it is good to have good friends in life.

Do not depend too much on your friends.
Even they are your friends, they will think over and choose the way suitable for themselves to give your help. I think it is nature.
Few people will sacrifice themselves to help other people.
