Why it takes so long time by mail?

On Feb.28 I sent two letters to two foreign friends. One is in UK and the other is in Denmark. However, today it is already March 15 but they haven't received the letters yet. This is quite abnormal because in the past usually it just spent about one week arriving there. I start to wonder whether there is a strike in the post field in Europe? Or is it due to the bad weather?

Whenever I am abroad I never send any correspondence back to the UK, because most of the time it never arrives or when it does, it's usually long after I have returned! It's a waste of postage. Sometimes you wonder if the letters you have sent haven't gone to another country on route or done a bit of sight seeing on their way to their final destination! Post can be pretty erratic, especially in the UK!

Mails by post sometimes will miss lost, we know that ,some times my computer's main machine is missed and the flat screen is arrived ,without host computer all the material lost.
Maybe the train or areoplane missed your letters.
Give you good opinion ,you can mail letter by email ,email will arrived in 1 minute, and everyone has compter and net can received correctly.
Do not bother too much, email your letter again may solve problem.
