Why Always Post Starbucks Pics?

I have nothing against starbucks, i've been there couple of times and coffee is good although its a little bit costly as compared to nescafe. :-) But almost everyday when I check my FB wall, some of my friends seem like they are extremely proud to be in the coffee shop that every time they go their, a pic of the starbucks cup showing its logo rather than their own faces is being broadcasted. Oddly, I am really not sure how to react, so I'd rather choose not to leave a comment. How about you, how would you react on this?

I just ignore. I have observed the same- people posting a lot of things (nonsense) They think they're great- but they never knew they are annoying most of their friends.

Actually it's always Starbucks that is most common to the people. They usually use Starbucks because the brand sort of provides a connotation that the person is part of an upper class society.

Yes that is true Chiyosan. Since Starbucks gives a connotation of class , they think that they are already class when they post that picture of a Starbucks coffee! Social climbers that's what they are.

Maybe I have to visit that place too... to take pictures. he he. Oh, well personally, I would just let them as this is their own happiness. Although it might be annoying to some. And these things should not be anymore being broadcast in public, still, I would consider their actions because maybe, they want to show the world or their own friends that they can afford the price in that place. You are not alone jaycee. I also have a friend or two who would always post what she will be having for her meals. And every time she and her boyfriend would eat out she will post what they are having as if bragging about it. I simply skip their post.

for some, it's a status symbol and mentality. I have nothing against those people but it's their way of expressing things whatever implied message they are trying to say. Personally, coffee is coffee. The best coffee is the beverage that keeps you awake when you need it - and less calories to worry about.

some people on FB are really like that..they take pics of things or food they bought or eat. this is common on FB, as for me i just ignore this kind of post but if i like the food or drink that is posted i could like it but not all the time, it just depends...

I haven't been on starbucks yet. I am seeing people post pictures of them on starbucks. It is okay, yes. But if they post it over and over again I am thinking that they are just making boast that they can afford starbucks.

It is like a symbol of status. If you posted on your Facebook that you are in Starbucks or you a re drinking Starbucks coffee, it is similar to saying Hey I am rich! I am already used to seeing these post and I really do not care. It is quite annoying sometimes but hey, that is their life. If they have the money, why waste it to something cheap but rather expensive. I just do not see the reason as to why they still need to flaunt it for the whole world to see.
