It's a typical day and it's also my rest day. I wake up late in the morning around 10:00 am so i go downstairs to grab my coffee and bread. My wife is at the backyard and i notice that she is carrying a detergent powder and a pack of vinegar so i approach her and i said, "You're gonna wash our clothes?". She replied "Yes i'm about to wash our clothes and i'm just preparing something". I also ask her, " What are you going to do with that pack of vinegar?". She said "Im going to put it together with the detergent powder and mix it with water then i wash clothes on it". I said "What?, You're going wash clothes with that mixture?". She replied "Yeah, i'm going to wash our clothes on that mixture to make our clothes smell good". I was wondering if vinegar would make our clothes smell good just like fabric conditioner.

Yeah i'm also shock. She usually do this everytime she washes our clothes. I know that she see this trick on a website. It smells good though and sometimes she puts some Aluminium potassium sulfate or Tawas(that's what we call it here in our country).

Yes, that is true!!! I remember my grandmother, she used this kind of technique... She explained to us that using vinegar in washing clothes especially the white fabrics/clothes will make it more soft and whiter at the same time the effects of the odor smells really good when it dries. So, why dont you try this, just use one of your white shirt and see what will happen.....

Hmmm.... that is interesting. I think I heard of this method
of using vinegar to clean. Some even use to mop the floor.
It seems cleaner and smell fresh. So, you should try to smell
the clothes once it is dry. Then let us know and we should apply
it too.

I was kind of surprise because for me, when you smell vinegar at first, it does not smell good. What if it was use in clothes? This is my first time I heard that vinegar is good for clothes to have smell good like fabric conditioner. Another knowledge that I find very interesting about mixing vinegar and detergent powder. I am glad I read this topic.

Yes, it is true vinegar can be a fabric conditioner and it also remove stain/rust in the clothes. Vinegar have lots of benefits including insect bites or stings, pour vinegar on sunburn area, and also bathing like in using to those who have a UTI vinegar and water to cleanse the urethra.
Vinegar is a useful thing.

I didn't know that vinegar would actually act as a fabric conditioner. I used vinegar on my kids' uniforms. Since they are all white shirts, the acid from the vinegar helps get rid of the discolorations of the shirts.
