smoking and electronic cigarettes

hello, guys. i've been a smoker since i was in my teens. sometimes i try to count the money i've spent on this vice and i say to myself that i would have been 'rich' if didn't smoke since i'm almost 49 now. i've seen people use the electronic cigarette. i've asked some of them if it helps. some say it does but they still add nicotine to the liquid so i guess the damage to the body is still the same. anyone out here using this? some feedbacks, please...
