Petition for animal rights..

Have you ever signed a petition? Do you actively seek out petitions about things you care about? In the past I have signed petitions that I've come across if I've felt strongly about the topic. Today I came across a list of petitions all about animals and animal rights. I feel very strongly about animal rights, and I absolutely detest the mistreatment or senseless slaughter of any species of animal (except mosquitoes.. seriously, their population can be wiped out for all I care, and probably fleas too, and certainly bedbugs.. but I'm getting off topic). Please take a moment to check out this site and sign some of the petitions.. or all of them if you're so inclined. The animals who cannot speak for themselves need as many voices as they can get to further their cause! http://theanimalrescuesite.greatergood.com/clickToGive/ars/take-action?link=ctg_ars_take-action_from_petition_MegaNav

I eat a vegan diet for ethical and health reasons. I really love animals and have two dogs. I do sign petitions against animal cruelty. I care strongly about animal cruelty and hate any mistreatment of any animal. Of course I hate mosquitoes, flees and bedbugs. I care about pets and wild animals. I feel sorry for farm animals and think factory farming can be ever so cruel and nasty. I think laboratory testing of animals can be totally sick. When I lived in Kent I went on a few marches for animal causes. I didn't like the police presence. I don't want to get a criminal record so I stopped going to any marches. Now I live in North Somerset I don't get involved anymore. I still do sign the petitions I am pleased to say.

I wouldn't care much about a criminal record if I was standing up for what I believed in.

I am a primary school teacher. If a teacher gets a criminal record he or she won't ever be able to teach again. Many people like animals and eat meat. My food didn't have a face. Each vegetarian or vegan is so far along the road of cruelty free. I don't wear leather. I am proud to be a strict vegan. I am a gentle person and not a trouble maker.

When there is a case that I feel particularly passionate about I will take the time to sign the petition. I realize that my voice is but one voice but there could be times that my single voice is something that might make a difference in the long run. When it comes to animal rights, I do believe that animals deserve to have rights of their own, but I am not one of those extremists that feels that everyone should be a vegetarian and that animals should never be slaughtered.

I am really distressed at these pop stars pushing furs again: Rihanna, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga. So many of these people are pushing for the return of this useless and cruel practice. These celebrity women are fighting to have the practice of furs re enter the market. This is horrible and disgusting. I really hope that they do not prevail. Sad, that the young girls look up to such trash. Very sad, that they do not see the compassionate women in the world. They are led on by glamour. Sad really. Pass it on, so people will become aware of the filth these women represent in the world.
