I was waiting to cross the street, when this old lady was driving, she turned the corner, and she almost hit me, not to hurt older people feelings, in here but Older people in there 80's or 90's should let some one drive for them, this is not the first time, I was almost his my older driver, there was a older lady driving, and she was driving fast in gas station, and she almost hit me, this woman should not have been driving at all.

I agree with you that once you reach a certain age you should have to go back for a new drivers test to see how good you drive or not. If you don't pass then you lose your license and have family or friends drive you to your destinations. I know it makes people lose their independence but it will save alot of accidents from happening including their lives. To many lose control and that is very scary. I'm scared for my own dad who is now seventy-eight. In fact I don't want to drive with him in the car because he scares me when he drives. I don't know what they will do once he can no longer drive because there are no family members around. I guess by then they will have to move in with me.

I hate to break the news to you but it's not just the older people who almost hit people. People drive so fast and a lot of them totslly ignore crosswalks. I see almost every day someone nearly get hit by drivers who are going too fast, talking /texting on cellphones, etc. I do think that older people have slower reaction time and some don't see very well but I don't know anymore what is worse. It seems most people are driving distracted.

I am just new to driving here in the states, and not to disrespect our elderly but my car was almost hit by an old lady, I think she's in her late 70's. She's got a stop sign and she didn't even stop. I was almost halfway through my street when I realized she doesn't have any intention to stop. I have to stop and swerve a bit to the left (she's coming from my right) just to avoid her car from hitting mine. And I saw no expression on her face, like she didn't see me at all. I am both scared and concerned for her.
