After I got my first job, my supervisor and my seniors asked me to set a list of goals for myself. At that time, I can not understood their means well. This week, I received a training to improve my working ability, during the training, the trainer also set such a problem for me, which made me rethink over the questions.
Soon I think they are right, I should set goals for me, while making a list is to make them clear to feel and easy to checked if some of them have been completed.
Last night I listed out all of my goals, some for my ability, some for my career and some for my family life. I hope I can achieve one after another.

My goals mainly revolve around being the best person that I am able to be. I was never much of a "make a list then check it off" type of guy. I would just set day to day goals and do my best to fulfill them whenever I was able to.

Formerly I do but when I achieve my goal I refrain from making another. A goal in life is a big factor if you want to be successful. I hope you will achieve your goal

I think so.
The goal is the direction, even working very hard everyday, if you do not work in the direction, it is hard for you to be successful.
But during the way to the success, I always find that my attention is always distracted by other things, most of them are interesting but unimportant.
So I think make a list may help me to look over and checked. Even a period of time away from the direction, I still can return to the right way after that.

I don't have list of goals in this life.
Yes, I have dreams and wishes but I don't keep a list of it.
But somehow it might help us to pursue and inspire us to reach one the soonest possible.

Hi dandan, i usually do not keep alist. i am more of a person that goes by life each day. i keep my plans and goals in my head and i never really jot them down. I am not the type that keeps list and goes each day looking at the list of things i did or did not do. :D
I do try to get what i want and i do keep my focus, eye on the prize as they say especially when it comes to work and i know i always excel because i work hard and i give my best when it comes to what i do. at work, i am like this too. i give my best, i do my best, and i learn whatever i can and so people won't have anything to say to go against my achievements because they would know themselves that i worked hard for it.
I remember i tried to be this organized and when i did i cannot even write anything. hehe so when i have written something, i just don't have (or rather too lazy to update my list). And i envy those who can keep a list, maintain the list and update it as they go day by day.

When I was a student, I tried to keep my goals and dreams in my brain, I think that is ok enouhg.
But after I entered the society, I found that there were too much choices which are too interesting that cause me easy to give up my goals and dreams for them.
So I wrote down my goals and dreams, do not want them to be forget. I do not want after years of hard working then find out that what I have done has nothing to do with my goals and dreams. I now the list will bring a lot of pressure, but better than working in the wrong direction.

Goals is the utmost important matter in life.
If we do not have goals in life, our life had no
purpose nor directions. It is just like the song;
"Que Sera, Sera, whatever will be , will be!" To be
successful in life, we need short term and long term goals.
With that we can start taking steps and plans to achieve it.
So, aim for the sky ... and wish you success in everything you do!

When,I finished my college course, all I want is to be employed the sooner the better. One of my goals, is to help my parents to send my brother next to me to school and support his studies. I did, now that he is a graduating student, I feel overwhelmed and proud because I did it.

Its always good to set goals for yourself, that you are sure your life is channelled towards a specific direction. I personally prefer setting goals from low to high and works towards achieving then in that order. My major reason is that once I can achieve the first two which are easy, it motivates me to go for the higher ones.

Planning is very important. As the sayings goes ;
"If the person fail to plan, he/she plans to fail."
Setting goals is the first step to achieving it.
It is good that you have the opportunity to
attend the training, it is a great way for self improvement.

I have a lot of goals (some I have accomplished and some I have not yet). My one goal was to obtain my second Masters Degree and I have just finished that goal the first week of March. Now my goal is to make 15 pairs of earrings and 15 bracelets by the end of the month so I can start my online business the first week of April. I am hoping I can achieve this goal, but it may be difficult. I am learning how to sew and quilting and am hoping to learn this skills so I can sell more items online. I am not hoping to be rich by doing these tasks, but I want to help pay bills and hope to eventually buy a bigger trailer. Setting goals are a great idea and it helps you see how you want to grow.

Hi dandan!
I remember listing my goals way back before I was able to start working in the government. Then one day, while I was cleaning the house, I was able to find the notebook where I have written those goals, sort of a bucket list.
I am happy to find out that some of those goals I had before were already achieved.
Setting a goals is like setting a direction to our life. This will guide us on which road we have to take.
Have a great day!

ahhh you mean the career path as foresighted 5 years from now. then setting daily goals to monthly to yearly. Yes this is common to all companies for them to project how much can they use your services or if it is practical for them to spend money for you in terms of your career development.

It is good to have a list of one's goals in life. I have never done that myself in a proper way, listing out clearly of what I want to achieve in my life. I have had ambitions and dreams made, fulfilled and of course, broken. But I never had them listed out. I may want to do one soon, just to see what more do I still want to achieve in my life.
