Yay! I found it!

It was Thursday when I wrote that I lost my NOL card. So I walked from home to office in the morning; and back home walking too. It was a tiring day! When I reached home that night, I was searching the room hoping to find the lost card but couldn't really find it.
My friend told me not to buy a new card. But I still bought a new one when we went out. And said I’m gonna punish myself losing the card – I’m gonna walk in the morning and evening from home to work to home until this month is over.
Friday morning when we all are dressing up for church. My friend accidentally grabbed the curtain hanging beside my bed and there a card flew out! It was just safely tucked in the curtain after all!
But... Yay I'm so happy!

Hi there blackrusty,
I usually put it in the back pocket of my bag for me to easily take it in or out when using it. I do hope never to lose it again as it is a hassle buying a new one. Time is so precious here to go to the counter and buy a new one lol. I've been seeing some people here who have lots of cards, I guess same thing happens to them too often.

Yup I do! It's just that in the morning I removed it there and put it in my pocket. I just didn't remember putting it on the bed lol. My fault being forgetful.

it's the accident as the statement: "when you look for it, you don't find it. when you don't look for it, you find it at the sudden", haha....

It was such a pity that you lost your NOL card. I am so happy that the card flew out from behind the curtain on Friday. Well done to your friend grabbing the curtain. I am so delighted for me.
My most expensive loss was my electronic car key. In the end I did find it. Recently I lost my sports center membership card. I had to pay 3 pounds to get a replacement.

Congratulations...dear En! See, It's not only us old folk, that can be forgetful!
Now what? If I remember correctly, don't these cards have your picture on them, so that will mean you can't sell? Is it possible the Transport Co., will refund when you show them both? Do tell!

Hi virtual momma pergammano
Thank you, thank you! I am really a forgetful person most of the time even before when I was very young.
Only a blue Nol card have picture on it. The silver card doesn't have, which means if you lose it - there is no way you can get it back. The only identification is the 10 digit number it has behind it. But that you can get if you memorize the numbers and if and only if a good Samaritan return it to the authorities.

Could this have happened after a night of FUN and frivolity? Just brings back memories of my younger years...a little on the tipsy side, thinking that I am putting something of importance, in a secure place. For sure, I will remember where...and it's always the last place you would look. Been there, done that...and then have a good laugh at myself...thinking, ah yes, now I remember doing that! BIG HUGZ..you are going to have a great day!

Nope nothing much happens that evening. But like any other nights, I slept late. And I was in a hurry in the morning because of the work I need to finish in the morning. I wanted to leave early so I can be in the office early or on the exact time.
Well, I can guess such thing won’t happen if I get to drink too much in the evening. Coz I won’t be going to work if that happens after a fun night. LoL!

so the way you described it, it's rechargeable. am i correct?
but do they have expiration dates? if none, then think of it this way, you have a spare NOL card. you can put one in one bag, and the other in another bag. so the next time you're in a hurry and can't find it, you don't panic because you know there's spare you can use. it's just like having spare keys or a spare cellphone or those prepaid internet sticks.
i'm glad your office is close enough for you to walk. i hope you put sunblock before going out.

Hi hereandthere,
yes these cards are rechargeable and my card has no expiration date. While some have, like the blue card which can only be consumed in one month. And if not consumed - it will eat the rest of the amount you still have in it. But there are uses of each of the cards, I chose the silver one which most people have since it is the ideal card for me.
Yes, it;s a good thing I have two cards. But I only keep both in one wallet. If I feel lazy loading up the other one, I am still sure there is another one with money in it.
It's a 20-minute walk from home to office. So close but still a bit far. But I can still manage to walk. No sunblock use, I don't have one. Shades would be enough to cover my eyes from the dust and sunlight.

pinoys are not really used to walking, so it's a "culture shock" when they go overseas. but i won't mind if it's not hot. i mean i don't want to reach the office all sweaty! my skin seems to have gotten paper thin as i got older, so i really have to wear sunscreen now. but i would like to have darker skin.

Yes so I am thankful to my friend! Yay!
But I already bought a new one. Anyway I can use them both. I just lost 66 pesos from buying a new one. But that's alright.

When you are not looking for something, then you find it! That happens to me alot! I will go nuts looking for something and not find it! Then when I stop looking then it shows up like your card did! I just wish I could do this all the time! There are times when I can't find something,if I look for it or not!

Yes it happened to me too, not only now. It's just that I worry more about this one since without this there will be hassles with the time and transportation. Before I lost some things too, and it just appeared after half a month or more. I wasn;t even looking for it anymore as I assumed it was already been taken accidentally by someone.
Just hoping this doesn't happen coz sometimes it can be too annoying.

At last you found it
I wonder how did your card get itself tangled in the curtain
Anyway, it doesn't matter how it happened, what matters most is you have it now.

Hi jai
Yes at last!
I guess I placed it there on the bed. And since I was rushing to leave home to get to bank and office early, I tidy up my bed, switched of the lappy, and just maybe didn;t noticed it went through the curtains. All I remember is that, I put it on the sofa. My memory sometimes can be limited.

Of all the places, your card is just stuck on the curtains, enelym! Who will ever suspect that it could just be found there?
Sometimes , just when we aren't looking for a lost thing already, it would just suddenly pop out as if from nowhere.

Yes, I just hope it popped out too soon before I bought the new card.
Too late. But that's just fine.
Next time I lose something, I'll be searching the curtains too.

So lucky to find the one which has more money on it.
So unlucky to have bought a new one, where I lost some money. It is useful anyhow since the new card is loaded with some amount too. Only thing is that there is a small amount deducted on it, I guess it's the card charge.

Oh at least you already found it or it found you. There time wherein we are keep on looking something that we lost or assume we lost, almost all the possible places yet we found it in place that we least expected to find it. Good thing that rhe card already show up and your worries was already over.

Hi Eny- So you back in your town? Reminds me about my data SIM card, I use it for accessing internet through my moble- I have two of them cause one was not working for some time. I got the other one recharged and found that my current one not working. So I had it recharged again. Later I tried the other one and found now both were working, but net loss of $3 as I can use only one at a time and it expires in a month.

No, I am still in the desert.
That's definitely a loss. I am still lucky I guess coz these cards don't expire. I just loss almost $2 as a charge they take for every new card you buy. It's loaded with about 6$ and about $4 you can use for transportation, while $2 are deducted from the load.

Yes, it happens most of the time.
So, what I do sometimes is stop looking for it. Hoping it will appear any time.
The only problem is that, if I lose this card. I can't wait for the next day to buy a new one. Because wherever I go I have this to use for me to ride busses and trains. Otherwise I have to spend for taxi. And taxi's are just a weekly thing for me. Busses and trains are everyday means of transportation.

this is a fortunate incident for you. i heard and experienced many times about things being lost and then found unexpectedly. when we almost give up, then suddenly things turn out favorably for us. you must be blessed. an angel must be watching over you and you deserve a blessing that's why the angel gives you what you have been looking for. be grateful to life.

hi there mensab,
Thank you!
Sometimes I really can feel that God sent an angel to guide me always in everything.
and yes, there were lots of times and often heard too about such incident. When we stop looking for it, then you will unexpectedly find it right in front of your face.

Some people will say as a joke that there is some ghost playing tricks on you if it happens.
LoL!
