If you've been in a relationship with a guy for years and things did not work out in the end, it's very difficult to cope from it.
What do you think is the best way to be able to finally move on and enjoy single life?

You just got to live life and not worry regarding the past, you choose to get out of that relationship for some reason. Now that you're free do not let yourself dwell on what could have beens, that will only make you miserable and you will never get to move on.

A line from an old country-song comes to mind, 'The best way to get over somebody is to get under someone else.'
Think of it this way: you were 'under the magic-spell' of your ex-boyfriend, now you're looking for a new 'wizard' to enchant & -to be enchanted.

Moving on is hard but if you really wanted to do it and have a happy life I may say it is easy. The best thing that can really help is acceptance. You must accept that the relationship is over. Another is make yourself busy. Socialize often, meet new people. Don't think that because the relationship is over the world is over too. Don't ever say or think you can't live without him because he is not air or water that human can't really live without. This is tried and tested by me by the way.
