Would you live in a "doll house"?

More and more tiny homes are showing up on the market. They are less than 1,000 square feet. I think this is a great idea and I think I would like to live in one. How about you? Do you think you could live in such a small home? Would the size of the yard sway your decision? I would be fine with a tiny home, but I would like more of an average sized yard, I think. I want enough space outside to be able to have both a garden and enough space for activity. However, if I had a vertical garden, I wouldn't need too much space for that, so perhaps my yard could be a bit on the smaller side and still be comfortable. How is the size of your home now? Do you want to go smaller, bigger, or do you like the amount of space you currently have?

For a maximum of two persons, I don't mind living in one. I imagine it would be so much easier to maintain. I don't have a habit of having too many company over, and I enjoy small but well kept yard or garden.

I would not say that 1,000 square feet house is a doll house. If the space is well organised, it can be a good house for a family of 6. A bigger house can the better, I suppose, but if that means that the family must work to pay for luxury, I`d say it`s not worth it. I wonder how big are mobile houses, the small ones. And I also wonder how much garden space they have. We don`t have mobile houses in my country, but I have een movies and they don`t look big.

A smaller home would be easier to take care of. If you have a lot of kids you may want a bigger place with more bedrooms. I would want room for a garden too. And it depends on whether you are planning to stay there for awhile or if this is just a stepping stone to a bigger place later on. Alot of things to take into consideration.

I do live in a small home. I converted the garage into a dining room to make it bigger. I love my home but it is important to me to keep it free from clutter. I have two bedrooms with bathrooms en suite ans one very large room with a kitchen one end and the sitting room the other plus the converted garage. It is cozy and I love it, I do have a large garden which I adore and have no intention off enlarging my room by adding on a new bedroom etc. I like it as it is

Our family is a family of four and the house that we live in right now is about 1700 square feet. For us, I really do believe that is the size of house that we need. The reason that I like the size of our house is because of the fact that we have enough room that we aren't constantly tripping over each other but we are also pretty close because we don't have a ton of space. I don't think that I would be able to live in a house of only 1000 square feet with all four of us because I just don't feel like we would really have enough space overall.

I don't think i would like living in a small house.I like big Victorian style houses and i currently live on a small farm so i would need a lot of land.

I have not lived in doll house. I think it would be cute to live in it. I have never seen big doll houses. I think most probably I will look at net to know more about the doll house. I think most probably it must be constructed in a nice way.

They sound like very small homes. I am totally content with where I live and it is perfect for my family. It is a 3 bedroom semi detached bungalow overlooking some green grass that has two trees. I bought it in 2010 and shortly afterwards a wheelchair ramp was fitted. That is ideal for my son and his wheelchair. My back garden is fairly big and I put a shed and an arbor seat in it. I made a border of hardy tropical looking plants. I still have an area to develop where a horrible old half broken greenhouse used to stand. It is probably going to be my final home of my lifetime. I would hate to have no garden or a cement yard. I like having a flat level garden and in my childhood my mum had a back garden on a hill. I am so lucky to have my bungalow. Before I had my bungalow I lived mortgage free. Since 2010 I have had that monthly cost and it will take years to pay it off. I like my mum's 2 bedroom terraced bungalow however it is on a hillside. There are steps leading down to it and it is challenging with my son's wheelchair.

I have talked about tiny houses before on here. One company that has some charming pre-fab tiny houses is Tumbleweed Tiny House Company. That was one of my earliest introductions to tiny houses several years ago. I am planning a tiny home once we buy the piece of land. I've grown weary of renting, and this is one of the best routes for achieving what I want--without incurring a mortgage.

I am fin living in a small lot area for as long as it ha atleast 2 floors to live in. My kids are big and I am not sure how comfortable they can be in such limited space, most especially that my 2 younger kids love playing basketball. But if it were just me and my husband, I am fine with a small house. Currently, the place we live in is a 800 sq.m. lot. It has a 5-door apartment and a very spacious garage. No garden but a place for my kids to play basketball.
