So I ordered a pizza on friday night, I didn't want to cook and I probably only do this once a month or less. But who arrives at my door but someone I went to high school with. Neither of us said anything he probably doesn't even remember me. Anyway, the next night I saw on FB that he posted something like "lol fat lady who orders pizza, breadsticks every other night why get the diet coke? why not just ask me to get you a milkshake?" well i'm sure its not me but i felt like this was SO rude its your job don't judge your customers! especially if she tips you! (if she didnt i bet he'd complain and add that in) If you did this at work you might be fired for it right? Anyway I deleted him I don't want to feel like maybe I will be judged too! and i don't want that meany in my news feed! Do you think my offense is justified? Many people liked and laughed at it.

I think that it is completely justified that you took offense to what he had said on his facebook post and I believe that I might have done the same thing that you've done as far as deleting him from your account. With that said, I have to hope that he isn't friends on facebook with anyone that he works with because I do know that there have been cases similar to what you've mentioned here that have cost someone their job.

theres no need to make fun of anyone and when youre working you have to act with an even higher level of respect. I cant say I really care if he is fired for rude comments or not, its likely no one will see it. how come people dont realize their social media can come back to bite them though? because it definitely has for some people.

That was downright rude. And you did the right thing, instead of getting back at him or even making a comment on that nasty post, it is better to just get rid of someone like him. You don't need to stoop down his level of nastiness, and I am sure that with that attitude of his, I wouldn't be surprised if he will be delivering pizzas for the rest of his life. That is if he didn't get fired first talking that way about his customers.

I thought for a second about posting back but when people do that it just starts more rude conversation. people with mouths like that will get there's eventually.

There is no reason why you should have to justify or feel judged negatively on any site you are on. I would delete him too. How dare he! Some people get off on hurting and demeening others. It is sad.

That was rude. No one has the right to make fun of how a person look like. Even if you are the best looking in the world. But a lot of people are just like that. I've got some members in my family who are also like that and I just shake my head with a sarcastic smile every time I hear them being so critical of other people's look.

man if i had people in my family that did that its hard to say whether or not id speak up i think maybe because of family you put up with a little more, its her life if she wants to eat pizza or not or if shes fat or not its not the delivery guys business, no point in making her into a joke. youre right even if she was the best looking person looks are something that is so hurtful to poke fun at.

Yes, I think your offense is justified. Nobody should have to put up with people who make such snide remarks about other people. Facebook is meant to be a place where friends interact with each other. It's actually very surprising that people have the guts to post such things on the Internet. It becomes a bad habit by posting something negative, which can come back to bite you in the future. Anything posted on Internet never truly goes away even after you delete it. But I guess some people are just that way. Anyway, you did the right thing and don't need friends who post such insensitive things about others. I am also quite disappointed in those people who liked and laughed at that person's comment.

Update: I emailed customer service about this. They have to know its not right! she is obviously a loyal customer. this is definitely going to remind me to be careful about what I post as well not just about others but even your own distaste with your job! I looked up things people posted and got fired some are quite funny and entertaining

Just because many people like it and laughed at it doesn't make it right. That guy's attitude is disgusting and unprofessional. Even pizza boys have to professional though I don't think it is really a profession. I don't understand why people are drawn to jerks like him who finds it good to insult people who have done nothing whatsoever to him. Deleting him was for the best.
