I once went on a blind date and it was just horrible and awkward. I was kind of forced to, as a joke my friends tried to make. Everyone was just so desperate and weird and trying so hard to look normal... Have you ever gone on a blind date? If you haven't, would you ever do it? I sure wouldn't fo it ever again!

Sorry but blind dates are good for some good people as well. My friend had a good experience of blind date and he is with her till now and they actually strated loing each other. I am not sure about the girl but my friend is surely serious about his date. Actually its totally dependent on the people who are meeting and in india you know how the atmosphere is and its really very difficult to check that who is right and who is wrong

I'm glad I haven't gone through that, though there were friends who wanted me to. I don't like people introducing me to someone because they feel that I need a boyfriend. Neither did I like the feeling of looking desperate because everyone else had a partner of their own.
I did have a friend who went through such, and yes, it was pretty awkward. They ended up just texting their friends because they couldn't talk bout anything. One of our friends was working in the restaurant they met and she told us that they were just there sitting dinner as if they were not there together.
In the end, they didn't talk a lot and ended up just saying goodnight. She never saw him nor did he hear of her again.
I think it's all not worth it because one of you would start thinking "how desperate is this person?". Though I'm open to hearing something good that ever came out of these blind dates. hehehe..
Have a great mylot experience ahead!

I haven't experience this kind of date.
I might consider the idea if it is a group date and with trusted friends around.
I guess your experience is not a good one, but I know some had fun and some ended a happy ending.

I have never been on blind date when I was single. I just didn't want the idea to be set up on a date with someone I do not know. I still prefer having to meet them the conventional way.

I think blind dates are fun but I would probably prefer referrals made by my friends not totally a stranger since now a days not so safe to have dates with perfect stranger

No I have not gone for any blind date but, I actually like a blind over a year I believed the one who was showing real love, and after that, we married, the only things I did not find yet is love. so for that I do not like any dating.

I once went on a blind date that my friend arranged. She had met a man on an online dating site and he told her that his friend would like to come, too. My friend invited me. I didn't know the friend at all, I hadn't even seen a picture of him, but I didn't have any plans that night and my friend really wanted me to to join them so I decided to take the chance and meet the friend. The 4 of us met and my friend and her date had a good time together, but the friend and I didn't really get along and we didn't have much in common. The meeting between the friend and me was not a success, but I don't regret that I agreed to meet him. Today I am married so I am not going on anymore blind dates

I'd never go on a blind date... mnaybe only if my best friend suggested it - I know that she's 100% reliable and would never set me up with the jerk of the century just for fun. I would at least check every date out on Facebook... that tells a lot about people... but now I have the most perfect boyfriend in the world, so it's out of question for me now, haha! :D

I haven't been into one, although I would always wonder how's it going to be like. I know that my friends can set me up with one should I really want it, but part of me is always the ever cautious, and during the time that I am still available (I'm married now), I really have a low self-esteem that I can't bear to see that the guy would take one look at me and think that he just wasted his time.
