Been doing some spring cleaning

I've been busy since I got up this morning with spring cleaning. I started with my floor again. I swept it and there wasn't much loose dirt on it. I did my usual clean with a clean cleaning rag. I'm glad I did that because the clean rinse water turned a little gray, so I'm satisfied the floor is clean.
Then I cleaned all the baseboards. I had to improvise a way to do that since I cannot get down on the floor. I sat in my wheelchair and used my foot to wash the baseboards with the rag.
I got fresh water and a fresh rag and wiped down all the cabinet doors, knobs, and surrounding woodwork.
I cleaned the refrigerator/freezer inside and out. It's a side by side. I found that baking soda toothpaste works really well as a soft cleanser and smells really good. I'll start buying it because I can get three in a package at Walmart.
Have you started spring cleaning yet? What have you been doing today?

You've been going like a machine. You really needed that rest.

Well, you are the busy bee today again aren't you? I need to get in and clean the toilets. I got some Lysol pelets to put in and I haven't done that yet. I always get on here and am gone for the day. I just got up at noon. Have a cold and feel awful so was glad to sleep in. With severe depression sleep has always been my good friend. I am still reeling from the fiasco at the ER on THursday. Go an email from one of the school meeting attendees apologizing for the idiot situation they sent us into. Ugh!

Ya, it was quite a circus event to be sure. I was so disappointed. Exhausted after 3 1/2 hours! Now we see the judge on Friday because of the physical abuse on his mom last August. They have it termed BEYOND CONTROL on the paperwork so maybe the judge will order a re-evaluation. I know the school is at their wits end. And yet Josh actually is doing better at home.

Oh gosh! I feel so bad that you are suffering from depression and feeling under the weather to boot. That's never good. In glad they acknowledged that three ring circus event! That was so uncalled for. Why even take blood from him if they weren't going to help you. I guess that was something they could charge for.
I feel so much better. I'm not depressed anymore. The activity really helps me to feel good.

I did a lot of cleaning last Tuesday, and when I woke up Wednesday morning, I could barely walk! My back was really bad. So I've been taking it easy. Just did the dishes, wiped down the counter and stove, and watered my plants today. The rest of the day, I was either on the computer or doing cross-stitch.

Oh I know what you mean about your back hurting. I get that way too. Having to use my cane tonight just to walk. Take it easy Barb. I'm gonna just clean my bathroom tomorrow and rest the rest of the day.

You can come clean my house if you'd like.. I never get around to spring cleaning since it's impossible to keep this place "average clean" with 5 kids around.

Yes it is a good time to clean all the kitchen from all the crumbs that are all over the counter and everything that is gummy whatever you can call it. I give some work to do to my kids to clean with me. i let them know that everybody is involved in that kind of job, mom needs big helpers.

I didn't have to do much today. The kitchen just had to be swept a little where crumbs fell. I cleaned my bathroom and it looks really pretty.

I clean more at work than at home. I am almost never home and certainly not home alone to be allowed to clean. I hand scrubbed the kitchen, dining area and bathroom at work. I wash the cabinets down about once a week. I dusted the vents in the bathroom and the light fixtures and so forth. You are a good motivator, though.

You did good! I enjoy working in the house. I use it as exercise too. Speaking of vents, I need to wipe mine down too. I'll do that tomorrow. I'm done for today. I can hardly walk right now. Got stiff.

I need to clean this place fairly thoroughly over the next few days. I know that most people (who are observant) start cleaning for Pesach (Passover) earlier than this, but I just haven't gotten to it yet. This is the first year that I am making a real effort to observe the holiday, so this is a bit of a change for me.

Hi Wilsongoddard! Someone else here is also getting ready for Passover. It's always a bit of a chore, but since we haven't been here a year yet there isn't a whole lot to do here. I want our house perfect for Easter. We call it Resurrection Day in our family. We like to get away from the Easter Bunny mentality of that day. Anyway, I'm getting there.

I started on Saturday but have alot more to do. I started with the windows due to brush fires that were happening not to far from us. Now we have finally had a little rain yesterday and today. I have so much work to do and I want to get it all done before Easter. Finish windows, clean closets out. Clean the fridge and kitchen cabinets. Clean my office completely and sweep and mop again. Something I do almost every other day. Today I worked in my yard cleaning and weedwacking.

You got your work cut out for you. I haven't done the first window yet. We gotta get the storm windows off. We got cobwebs inside between the storm windows and the windows. I want to give them a good spray wash on the outside but can't until the storm windows are removed.

I need to continue my spring cleaning. I started it on Friday and took the rest of the weekend off. Today I have errands to run and then will come home and mylot. I am hoping to stay at home tomorrow so I can get more cleaning done. I am hoping that by this weekend I can get things done so I can start crafting. I am taking quilting classes and am really enjoying it.

It seems like everyone has the same idea. Getting ready for spring doesn't have to be hard when we take it by degrees. I gotta get my closet organized. Getting my summer stuff out. Here spring and summer are about the same.

Hi Eagletreck! Happy Passover to you. I know everything has to be just right to get ready for it. I just really live using toothpaste as a cleaning agent. It gets my dish drainer really clean without a whole lot of trouble.

That's a good plan. We got rid of a lot when we moved here last May. We don't have a lot of junk anymore. I do have to bag up my winter clothes and put them away in my closet.

I have barely started. I am feeling a bit under the weather, maybe due to the sudden change in the weather. I would like to start with my closet though. Hopefully by tomorrow, I will be a lot better so I can continue clearing out my closet of stuff that I do not use anymore. I have bought a couple of new stuff so I need to make some room for them in the closet.

I went out on St. Patrick's day with my friends, but I had to come home early because I wasn't felling that well. I did go to a play and dinner, I just got sick at dinner and couldn't go to the concert.

Luckily, I don't have much to do because I keep up pretty well. I do need to clean out my closet and put my winter clothes up and get my summer clothes out.

No,I haven't. I really do not do much spring cleaning. Last June did deep cleaning when my gd was having a birthday party here. Probably best cleaning I have done here in probably 2 years. I refused to do it all by myself anymore.

sure no spring cleaning with my herniated disc. Recently we have bought a small vacuum cleaner and its amazing. We have the shoes off rule here in our apartment that means no outdoor shoes in here so its only a little dust and no real dirt in here.
I used that vacuum cleaner to get rid of the dust and it took me half an hour only for the entire place and it looks good enough again now.
