Would You Leave Your Country?

Would you leave your country? I am understanding that there are problems in the world. But, home is home, right? There is no place like it. I can understand someone leaving his or her country for safety and freedom. Would you find it more of a possibility to fight or take flight? The vulnerable can find themselves jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. I have become familiar with situations like these from news stories and other media. Do you think this is a question you will ever have to think about? Stay and fight or take flight? What do you think you would do if home is where your heart is?

If your country is occupied by foreign forces, then you should stay and fight if there is plenty of weapons to go around to free your country, your countrymen and women. It is no doubt there is no place on earth is like home and your native country. If circumstances where you are in is dire and there is no help from any source at all, then flight may turn out to be the best option for your own safety and your family, each situation is different and each problem should be tackled differently by individual .

I find your thinking on the same track as mine. Circumstances influence your situation, but home is where your heart is. People will handle their situation in their own way, but the head and the heart come together at your happiest.

I am very fortunate that I was born and live in Canada, which is a fantastic country. We of course have some stupid corrupt politicians, but overall, Canada is an excellent country to live in. If things went bad here, I don't think I would leave,as I believe things would be bad everywhere.

Canada is a place I have always wanted to visit. It would not be too much trouble getting there. I live in the United States. Politics is politics everywhere you go. So, if the politics of travel will allow me to visit, I just might.

Yes, its very easy to get to Canada from the States! You just need a valid drivers license or passport. I've been to the States numerous times (mostly to go to Florida). There is not a huge amount of difference between America and Canada, the culture is very similar. The biggest difference I've ever noticed is that due to Canada being bigger than the States and having a lot less population, we have more room and more natural forests etc. If you enjoy nature, Canada has some huge national parks that are very beautiful

As for me, i would leave my country not because I don't like it but because I want to search something for myself in some other country and have some work their. It is always nice to have a home where our country is. It sometimes misses you the certain place where you grow up and also the food that is different from other country. It is good to be back in our country. You would always think about that question whether you leave or stay but particularly some people wants to leave our country to find some job abroad, some do get married and settle down their. I would go back to where my heart belongs because that's my heart says.

You are right. Sometimes finding a home can cause us to look a little further, but when you find it, there is no place like it. We do miss things from where we were before, but we go to the place where we find the most comfort.

Absolutely right, theirs no place like home from other country. It should be the two where you are comfort and the like of that place that's the most very important thing.

Make sure to do research on what to see, what to do, and the cost of things. It helps to make for a better experience.

I always want to leave my country not because I hate it, its just that my country doesn't progress. Only rich born kids can be rich and poor born people stay poor till they die or multiply. I always wanted to explore opportunities outside my country like UK, Aussie and more as long as not US, Canada or China. :) but I will always plan to go back because I know this is and will always be where I would belong.

Experiencing life in a different country can help you learn about that country while learning to appreciate your own country.

I don't think I will leave my country. I admit that sometimes the environment, policy and other factors may affect and urge people to leave their country. However, most of the case, there is a solution that can be found and act on. Some people had managed to survive and live through very difficult moment in their country. If they are able to have a live, what cannot we do it?
@adforme (2114)

I agree. A lot of people go through the ups and downs for the sake of being at home. When you go home, you go to a place of certainty. We like to know where we are and how to stay there.
19 Mar 13
Yes, I am planning to. I wanted to work and earn larger amounts of income and also i wanted to enjoy or go to different spots. but of course, i will still go back to my home country. my family is here.

It's been my dream to be able to travel in other countries with my family. So I would be happy if this dream would be be fulfilled in the days to come. This is the only reason that I would like to leave my country. But for the purpose of working,I should say, I would prefer working inside my country rather than going to another country in order to work.

there are some countries that people prefer to leave and immigrate to a better country for future of their family and children. of course that home is home and that will be in the heart and feeling of the one who has left his or her country for any matter in his or her life. in my idea, if we have no body, even if to live in own country of foreign , is same but if you have some good people around with you and good hearted ones, then even if you are not in your country you will feel you are in your country. but finally, nowhere can be a hometown which we have in our heart. But sometimes they are such of situation that make people force for leave and immigrate.

There is nothing wrong leaving your country because we have our own decisions to make. I would leave my country not because I want to run away or seek greener pasture. I want to visit other countries so I meet new people and learn other cultures. It is not bad after all to leave from your comfort zone if it means that you are growing much more to become a better person. I do not plan to leave my country for good. You are right, home sweet home.

I can appreciate what you are saying. Home gives one a place to find comfort and a common bond with your neighbors. Traveling gives one valuable experiences and allows us to remember why we call home home.

While others seek for greener pastures, I still prefer to stay in my own country. It may not be one of the developed countries but I'm still proud of where I came from. My family, friends and everything I love is all in here and I don't want to risk losing them. The only time I want to leave my country is for travel purposes but other than that, I prefer to live and stay in the place where I came from.

I can definitely get your point. Being familiar with your surroundings, family, community, and culture is everything to them. Traveling is great, but there is no place like home.

I would say, home is where your loved ones belong. And i would happy to move to a different country with my loved ones. To be very honest, i don't want to live in a third world country, it is frustrating here. I would happy to be gone but life always has other plans for you.

Life usually takes you where you belong. Family makes a difference in choosing a home. Where your family can be together makes a happy home.

I was born in the United Kingdom in the part of it which is called England. I studied in North Wales in my mid twenties. I have traveled to more than 60 different countries. New Zealand is lovely in the summer however I can't imagine living there in winter. It is a similar size to my home country and yet it has a low population. My home country is over crowded. From the time I first saw Australia from the plane window I totally fell in love with it. I have spend months there and I adore it. I so wished I have emigrated there when I had been given the chance. If I had done that I think I would have missed my family and friends loads. My mom and my sister plus her family are important to me. They all live in my home country.

I am fond of visiting other places and countries, but I have never really thought of permanently leaving my country. But if it is something serious, that would risk my family and loved ones' lives, I can leave the country ONLY if they are with me. I think that with that kind of situation, it would not matter much where we live, what is important is we are together.

I left my home country recently because my husband lives in another country. And we both decided that this is where we are going to live. But of course that doesn't mean that I will never be back in my home country. My family is still there, my friends are still there. I still have lots more reasons to go back there someday.
@adforme (2114)

The idea of you living in your spouse's home country was a good one for you, for your happiness. Your family and friends are in your home country and you have many more reasons to go back there which is good. You were not running away from your home country; you were choosing to live in your husband's country. That is very telling of your love for your husband, family, and home country. I would do the same thing.

it is depend on the situation on why i should live my country, like if you are going to work abroad for the sake of your family, or having a vacation abroad but if there is a fight or war inside your country then you must leave your country together with your family because if you love your family and yourself you better save it first.
