Seeing the fact that in the Champions League this season there are no representatives from England to advance to the quarter-finals. Chelsea and Manchester City stalled in the preliminary round, then Manchester United Arsenal ddan stopped in round 16. It was a setback, even Sir Alex Ferguson admitted it.
What do you think caused it?

The Premier League was only good because there was no Financial Fair Play. And now, because it seems that the Financial Fair Play rule will be harshly implemented, they have to cut back the expenses, and that leads to performance setbacks also. If the Financial Fair Play would have been alive for 20-25 years already, teams like City, Chelsea, or the Italian teams, maybe even Barcelona and Real Madrid would have less European presences, and less trophies. I am very glad that this rule will be implemented, because it will lead to a more correct competition and the German teams will be rewarded by their correct policies during the years.

So you think the English team has been good because there is no Financial Fair Play? But it will go ahead next season. Is this indeed the impact of regulation, I think there is no connection with the Financial Fair Play, is a real problem of power. Now the team's strength in all european countries has more or less changed and approached equilibrium.

If there were Financial Fair Play, English teams wouldn't be able to buy so many star players and pay them like kings. Chelsea wouldn't have had Drogba's, Czech's, Lampard's and so on, City wouldn't have had Tevez's, Aguero's, Yaya Toure's and the list can go on. So everything is related to money, because quality does cost money, but the way English, Spanish and Italian teams have managed their teams was not fair, as they spent lots more than they have produced. Like many fans in Italy, they don't go to the stadiums, because the teams like Milan and Inter have sold their stars and haven't bought anything remarkable. It is easy to win trophies when you can spend without limit and buy the best players in the world, but it is not a fair competition, because the money was not produced by the team, but fallen from the sky.

Yes, i understand now, so when financial fair play in set up all teams will compete in healthy, because they could not use some abounding, while problem money already in limit. You think whether its influence to star players who are in a team together star players others?

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well yes, it is quite interesting to see the EPL teams not making further process in CL and i think this indicates an increase in the level of competition in the football and hence such teams could not cope up with it due to which their progress was stalled. They have to wait for another year to fulfill their dreams.
What say?

yes alike. It is very worrying when the league that is considered as the world's best league setback, it can be measured by their participants in the Champions League quarter-final that did not send a representative. The Premier League side suffered a setback, but the other side is now Football League than Premier League has had the power balance.

With no remaining English team, it does seems like English football is in the decline. But I think this is an one-off season and the English clubs will be back in force for the next. Unless we have such scenario for two consecutive seasons, then believe nothing what they say about the health of the english clubs.
