What if you get what you want and not what you need?

It just occurred to me that wise decision is necessary when we are to choose something or someone or else we will end up getting what we don't really need. We are sometimes deceived by how things appear to be all so beautiful and then we will WANT to get it but then after sometime you'll realize you do not really NEED it. Has this happened to you?

We sometimes become impulsive buyers most especially if we know that we have money to spend on it. So we see something real good and buy them eventually. But then when we get home we realize that it is something that we really do not need. Such waste of money!

I wonder if they were ever trained on how to hypnotize people so that they could have a sale! I mean, they certainly have great convincing powers, right? And even though you are very aware that it is something that you really do not need, yet they can really make you buy the item. It is as if you will feel ashamed for not buying it.

True. They're sort of using a magic spell to make you see and hear only the beautiful things about their product.

It is indeed a waste of money. There are also times when the salesperson is so convincing the you will be forced to buy an item and realize later that you don't need it.

With all the gadget coming out today, the answer would be an easy "yes" for me. There are a lot of gadgets that I wanna buy, and believe me, when I get the money, I'll go straight to the store and buy one. I fully know that I don't need those stuff but I'm still mesmerized by them. The only thing stopping me is my responsibilities, y'know, the bills and all. I have to pay them or else...

frontvisions101 thanks for the response, I can relate to that. Haha, yes the bills, and we have to pay them because we NEED to.

Hi, When we get the thing which we want in time we are in need of it we feel happy. But we get it after when we are not in need then it would be of no use. It would be a waste of money and waste of time. So we have to choose a thing in time. And we should check it carefully.

I agree roshigo58. The key is making the right decision at the right time.

years ago, i applied for a job i hardly knew about because i was jobless for so long and needed one asap. it was a struggle, i was the square peg in a round hole. i managed to improve my performance but eventually plateaued. some jobs you can learn, but never excel in it. but while i was there, they ventured into a new project. i asked and joined the second batch of trainees, again with only vague ideas about it. it was a job i never knew existed and found it easier to do. when it fizzled out, i resigned to apply to companies doing those projects. i'm grateful for that company because it's located in a place i've never been to and met different kinds of people. it also helped me become more comfortable using the computer, willing to experiment, and trained to be careful with my output, which all helped me in the new job.
