Is it lawful to sacrifice an innocent for the sake of many lives?

A Harvard proffesor asked: Is it lawful to kill one healthy person for the purpose of distributing his organs to five sickly person so that they will live? If you are the judge what will be your verdict?

This question originates not with the Harvard Professor but is an old question often contemplated in study of consequentialist ethics. The question is not whether such action is lawful but whether legalising such would be ethical all the best, urban
