Yesterday i want to buy new cellphone. My friend promote some phone to me. He buy that cellphone early than me. He say that phone is cheap and tell me the price. So i just take enough money and then when the seller count all the price it a little bit higher than money i take. I very embarrassment when i tell to that seller i dont have enough money. He tell it to me if i want that cellphone i must pay it all so i go to bank to get some money and pay it all. That is so embarrassment to me. I dont know where to put my face.

One time I had a pot of coins that I saved and went to buy a thing and had all the coins and rupees counted and when I was in the store found that I do not have enough money to buy the thing.

If we notice it early before ask the sales person or go to counter that ok but it very embarrassing when we must say to the sales person we don't have money and wait us to take some money at the bank.

Don't worry Aka. You're a young guy. These things happen. To everybody. I know it's hard being shy but you should have asked the man why your friend got a better price. And you should take your friend with you next time. Find out the price first from the store as well as your friends. But, now you know. What bothers me is why did your friend get a better price than you? Don't be embarrassed.

I'm not sure how much the price my friend buy that cellphone. I always ask how much and want he confirm it. He not sure but he always say the price is around 200 and sure my money is enough. In fact i a little bit worried that time. I also take him when i buy that cellphone. It a same shop. I think he can help me but he also dont have much money in that time. Maybe he buy that cellphone when he drunk that why he not sure haha. I try to forget this things and enjoy my new cellphone.

I see. Maybe your friend was bragging, too, and he wanted you to think he got a good deal. A better than the one he really got. And that's good that you're trying to forget it. Forget all about it and enjoy the phone. At least you were able to get it.

Hi AkamaruKei! I think you should not be embarrassed about it. You're not really aware of the price and your friend just told you about it. Maybe you're friend mistakenly oversee the price or maybe there is misunderstanding between you and your friend. If I were you, I will not get embarrass because you're a customer. And to think that you went back to the bank and get more money to buy the cellphone, I think you don't have any reason to be embarrass. You didn't do anything wrong so just don't think about it. I hope you will feel better now.

Well sometimes it happens to most people including me that things might become costly than we expect. One time I wanted to buy a thing and saved enough money and went to buy the thing and almost brought it until I came to know that the price has increased 10% from what money I have saved for the thing. I felt very depressed and sad that I saved money to buy it and could not buy the thing just for an increase of the price and did not have the money to buy it. I then thought may be I need more time to save money and had to wait and has not brought the thing yet and may be will buy n the future.

Luckily in my case I can buy it in the end. I just don't have enough money in wallet. I really need to buy it in that time if I not buy it in that time the price will increase back to the original price. I feel happy because I can get my first smartphone.

Hi AkamaruKei, it doesn't matter at all we have not enough money when wanting to buy whatever stuff. I did come across such situation as well, especially buying those rather expensive gadget or device. It's not safe for us to bring with us much money deal to the unpeaceful and insecure social environment nowadays For safety purpose it's wise to get a credit card. It's glad that if we don't have credit card we still can pay by debit card i.e atm card. Most of the banks in my place here have such convenient function Happy posting

Yeah, I won't pay via credit card as well if certain amount of interest will be charged. Here the electric appliance usually would charge interest of 3%. I will pay if it's free of interest. I feel reluctant to pay the extra amount of 3%.

Yeah it not safe to carry a lot of money in wallet. I don't have credit card but I have debit card but it only a little bit money compare in my wallet. At here not all shop support credit card and debit card sometime we need to pay with cash.

Actually, there's really nothing to be embarrassed about especially when you are genuine with your intention to buy. I felt that you should be a little thick-skinned in your attitude and bargain down the price. Mobile phones never have their prices increase and especially when the model has been in the market for sometime. I never let these dealers get away with such a thing, I would not hesitate to walk away and go to another shop to check it out before deciding. It is not the amount but the principle here.

Well when I buy something I never bargain down the price. Im shy to do that. I don't know the trick to bargain the price. I not like my sister he very good to bargain down the price.

Oh, it was your friend's fault. Did you buy in the same store? I guess it's better to take extra cash with us whenever we want to buy something so that we won't get short if the price is a little higher. Forget about it. At least, you were able to buy it.
• Philippines
19 Mar 13
Oh, yeah. Forget about it. It already happened. Just bring extra money next time so it won't happen again. Cheer up.
• Malaysia
19 Mar 13
Yeah i think maybe that is his fault. He cannot confirm how much he buy that cellphone. He always say it around 200 and after that he say he buy with a price 225. How come he not sure and not remember the price? Are he buy that cellphone when he drunk? That why he cannot confirm and remember. It a same shop he buy that cellphone. Well i dont want to remember that thing anymore because i can get that cellphone.

Prices vary among stores. You should always carry extra money just in case. Well, this is applicable in buying other stuff. I mean, we can never be sure how much we are to pay although we may have the idea of the price range.
• Malaysia
22 Mar 13
Well honestly I want to say I don't have any idea about the price. I just hear a price from my friend. My money is enough if the seller only count cellphone price but he also count the other things and that make my money not enough.

Don't worry about it. This happens all the time. If you did it intentionally, then I would worry about it. Since it was a mistake, no one is perfect. Just think about this.
• Malaysia

Yeah I should not worry about that. That not a big mistake. I should feel happy because I get that cellphone.

Yeah, a similar event happened to me. I was shopping at the grocery and had all these items. Once I put all my items on the conveyor belt, I was going to get my wallet out of my pocket. However, I realized I did not have my wallet with me. I was so embarrassed because I had to take all my items off the conveyor belt and get out off line.

Yeah when something like that happen it make we feel we don't want to visit that shop again next time.

Yeah, you felt embarrassed. What I can't understand why it is more expensive than your friend's. In fact it should be cheaper. As we know cellphones gets cheaper as after the launching date. It is also the same with computers and other electronic devices. Thus in actual fact the cellphone you are buying should be cheaper.

Maybe my friend mistaken about the price. I don't know how much he buy. He always say it around 200 but and then the price is a little bit higher.

It can't be. Cellphones, like computers will get cheaper as the days gone by. Then new models will be launched. This new model will then get cheaper and newer models will be launched again. This process goes on and on to ensure the cellphone companies make more money and make more money.

It's cheaper but you know the seller always have a trick to increase a price little bit higher to get profit.

There is nothing to be ashamed about that incident as it happens to almost everyone. Some enterprising merchant may suddenly increase their prices once they notice that there is also an increase in demand and this is what may have happened to you. The salesperson by the nature of his job should be the one who would understand your situation and as he seemed to be just that kind of person, then you need not worry about his opinion. What's important is you got your phone and could now enjoy it.

The price should 229 but it so strange we must buy warranty and but card membership. From 229 it become 276. I so surprise. By the way I get my new cellphone.

Yes I agree with you that would have been embarrassing. Sometimes things like that happen. Sorry to hear that you had that problem. I'm sure that most of us here have had something similar like that happen. We just have to remember that we all make mistakes or perhaps expected something to be cheaper than what it was.

Before I buy something I make sure, I ask the seller the whole price, of what I am going to buy from him/her including the tax, so I will have all the money for them, when I buy what I want from them, this will make it easier, for him and for me, and we bother will end up happy.
• Malaysia
20 Mar 13
Yeah when we want to buy something we should ask first. I should not shy to ask.
