I've had this problem with my cable company. One the security questions asks for my high school and there are several different ways I could say the name. That's why I would never choose that as a security question and I can't remember doing so.
I also hate it when they assume you are married or have brothers or sisters. Giving you security questions like, Where were you married? or Who was your best man? What's your siblings name? When you are not married and have no siblings, throwing those questions out limits your choices.

Whean making a yahoo account, you must always have to remember the questions for you to answer. As this is the only way you can retrieve your login details if you ever forget it.

It would be really hard to get through your email add again without having the knowledge of the vital info needed. So maybe the best option would be to make another yahoo mail and make sure you keep a copy of the info for that email add as well as link it to another account so if ever you forgot again or lost the info you kept, you can still be able to get through your email add.
