My two older kids had eczema when they were babies, did creams and changed soaps and gave them oatmeal baths and did whatever the doctors told me to about it. Whatever I did seemed to help for a short time but now they are 4 and 5 and seem not to have it anymore thank goodness. My 1 year old has it worse and nothing the doctors have told me to do has helped, when I was working and my mom had the 3 kids my one year old got into a bowl of homemade raw cookie dough with raw eggs and broke out in hives, the doctor didn't think anything about it then the day of his 1st birthday party I made eggs and again he broke out in hives after one bite. He didn't have any problems breathing so I just kept an eye on him and the hives went away on there own. Then when I took him in to see the doctor she decided to do a test for food allergies, got a call about 2 weeks later saying he is allergic to wheat, milk and eggs. They made him an appointment with an allergy specialist for next month. The doctor told me to just keep giving him whatever I have been giving him for food. but the milk and the wheat is prob causing his eczema. I tried to find things at the store with out milk eggs and wheat in them but that is almost imposable unless it is a heath food store and the prices there were way to high. So if anyone else could tell me of an recipes that a 1 year old would like or sites that might have recipes he would like. I have been looking since the day that I found out about it and have not found anything but cookies cakes and brownies and I am not feeding him only cookies cakes and brownies.

There's soy milk and almond milk. You can find things with rice flour or corn. Even feeding him things like oatmeal for breakfasts and then rice instead of breads. Another thing to try is using potatoes more. I am personally extremely allergic to corn protein, so I know its hard to avoid certain foods, but it is possible.

I used to have food allergies, and then I tried the food rotation system. here is some information on the system. My best of luck to you and yours. For me, it worked: http://www.food-allergy.org/rotation.html

I am not giving you any recipes.I just wanted to agree on this article of yours. Last year, when I was 29, my skin was breaking up. I am having huge painful pimple on my skin- on the face, neck and back. Even when i was in Asia, I had them at some point and it was in my adult age when they came out. Now that i live in Europe, I thought it was gonna go away coz I am in a cleaner environment. After a month here, my skin just went crazy. Everyday, a lump is coming out. A friend of mine said, I have to go to the dermatologist and so I went. Dermatologists can't immediately say what is causing it but adult acne now is becoming common. It is more of an allergy to something especially with food. But first, it could have been the water coz in this particular city, it is treated so much for safety. Then the air, yes, there are trees all over but the city is in a valley thus the pollution from the cars and factories stay blocked by the hills around. Finally, my diet. I told my doctor how I loved cheese, bread, milk and chocolates here. She immediately said, LACTOSE. I might be allergic to lactose and yeast. So, I went back to my Asian diet- no bread, no pasta, no cheese, no CHOCOLATES!!! After a month of not eating these food, my skin cleared up. Every time I eat or accidentally consume them then my skin goes gaga again. It is unfair I thought at first but when I was talking to my physical therapist, she too is lactose and fructose intolerant. Anyway, my doctor said i could take some medicine to change my digestive system so i could adapt on certain substances that I could not digest but when i was reading on its side effects, I could experience muscle and joint pain. There is a small percentage of having that but with the job that I do, I need these muscles and joints healthy. So now, chocolates are like poison. I am not anymore envious to people eating them. If i go to the supermarket, I don't get tempted to buy any of them too.:)

When I was little I used to have loads of food allergies. But out of the blue, when I started growing up, they all seemed to disappear completely! I have never had them again and can eat anything. Sometimes these things tend to go away, but you can never be too careful!
