Is it necessary for me to put the dehumidification box inside the piano?

When I bought the new piano, I was told that I must put a dehumidification box inside as the moist will damage the piano. But on Sunday a piano tuner came to my home to turn our piano. And he told that the dehumidification box didn't work for the piano. I feel confused to it. But I still put it inside the piano anyway because I can see the result. Since after some time, the dehumidification box can be full of water.

Hi youless, from the view of common sense, the water accumulated in the box placed in the piano shows that it works. At least it can help to absorb the humidity May be the piano tuner doesn't have knowledge about the new gadget I suppose. Yeah, like what Hetley has mentioned, remember to replace the box full with water in time. Don't let the water overflowing that might spoil the piano. May be the piano tuner doesn't have knowledge about the new gadget. Since there is room to place the box, it's no harm to keep it there
