I recently started 'working' on a new site that I found. I was searching for another place to earn some money and found this particular site. I like the 'work' I have to do on it and it looks like it might be an honest site but about a week after working on it my yahoo account was compromised. I got an email from yahoo saying my account was accessed through a media that I don't usually use. I only use my pc for everything and never access the net with my phone. It also said that whoever accessed it was in Brazil! I had to go through the whole thing of changing my password and 'secret word'. At first I thought it might be someone on mylot but realized I use a different email for mylot so don't think it could be that. So, I'm thinking it's the new site. I tried to find out where the new site is working from but there's no information about it. Do you think I should stop working that site? I really enjoy what you have to do to earn money and would hate to think it's them!

It look like yahoo was really on top of things. They had me make a lot of changes and even showed me all the times I accessed the site on my pc and were smart enough to know that I don't access the site on a cell phone or any other device which is what happened. Whoever did it wasn't using a pc.

After reading your responses, it seems it's very dubious and certainly illegitimate my friend, which leaves me wondering what Paypal are doing about it, if that is the payment processor used to pay people? The internet is like a minefield to be honest, and it's very hard to find a site that is kosher and legit and pays!

What is the name of the site? What 'work' does it involve?
I certainly think you should stop using it. It seems very likely that it was misusing your email address. It should be possible to find out the IP address of the server, at least (though that isn't any guarantee that that is where the Admin lives).

I agree with owlwings. Stopped with one of the sites that I had joined initially. ctryhnny...earn only if you desperately need that money. Otherwise, refrain..and look at other sites that pay quite well like iwriter, or bubblews, and of course, even myLot. :)

Can you please tell which site is that so that I can also try working in it.

Maybe you can make another yahoo address and sign up with that one. See if you new account gets compromised as well. Or you can find someone who would be willing to test it out for you. I wouldn't mind testing it out.

Hi friend, sad to hear about this, hackers are available in every where and we must be very careful while joining with new sites, i think your problem is due to the new site. Better to stop working with this site as well as don't give any important personal to this site. Be careful with online work
