Hubby came home from work sick today.. he got the tummy bug too. The kids had it all weekend, and I got it yesterday, now he's got it. Ick!
So he got home from work, grabbed his blanket, and laid down on the sofa.. I asked him why he wouldn't just go upstairs to bed? I know he didn't sleep well last night.
When he got home last night I was in bed dealing with my own tummy bug. I was shivering and shaking.. must have been running a fever. So I had my robe on, my blanket, and put his blanket on top of that and fell asleep. He slept on the sofa last night so he wouldn't disturb me.. and had no blanket because he didn't want to take his from me.
So back to today.. he says he doesn't want to go upstairs because it's cold up there.. and he proceeds to fall asleep on the sofa.. but he's snoring so loud I can't hear myself think. I'm here trying to get things done.. including laundry which I need the sofa for.. I fold the clothes on the sofa and let the kids put them away.. he's messing all this up. Plus I can't do anything online while listening to him snore.. and my 5 year old, who only goes to school half days, is bored out of his mind cause dad's asleep on the sofa so he can't sit down or watch TV or anything.
So finally I had enough. I told him he needed to go upstairs so we can get on with our day without being interrupted by his loud snoring!
Now he's upstairs.. but I can still hear his darn snoring.. geez!!

Indeed snoring can be a big problem. My grandma snores like a cow! and she gets in my nerve when its sleeping time. It give me headaches, stress during the day because of not sleeping well. I cannot do anything about it as she doesn't want to go to hospital to see if what doctor can do about it lol.
You will have to see a doctor, if you want to save your relationship lol. You cannot sleep with him if he snores like trumpet, hmm. xx

It doesn't usually bother me so much when he's sleeping, I just tell him to roll over so he's facing the other way.

My husband snores so loud sometimes it sounds like a train is coming through the house. He snores so loudly that I cant even sleep in the same room with him, and when he is sick its even worse. OMG I cant stand him snoring it was almost the cause of divorce for us. So rather than divorcing the poor man cause I was not sleeping I just moved into the guest room and things have gotten so much better for us. LOL.

Sometimes I beg my husband to let me have my own room so I can sleep better, but he refuses to allow it.

I have to admit that I would have probably done the exact same thing to my husband that you'd done to yours when it came to the snoring.
I do understand that there are times that we all get sick and we really don't want to have to deal with the world. However, I also think that when we are not feeling well then the best place that we can be is in our own beds. It is chilly in our bedroom, but I'm able to deal with that because you can always pile on more blankets but you can only take off so many clothes.

Maybe your hubby has sleep apnea? His windpipe is closing as he breaths in, so he needs to go see a doctor when he is well. Does he snore like this all the time? Or is it only when he is ill?

Oh the poor thing! But I can just imagine it and picture how it went and I can't help but smile and find it a bit funny. I don't know what's up with the change of weather but two of us in the house got some bug of some sort as well and I feel sick to my tummy for about 2 days.

Ugh, it stinks when the whole family has a bug going around. I feel for you with the snoring. My husband snores when he sleeps on his back and it is even worse when he is over tired. I know there have been a few times when he has woken one of the babies from snoring so loud. I always tell him one of the nights the fan is going to fall on us because he is going to suck it off the ceiling from snoring so bad. Hope you all are feeling better.

Snoring can be bothersome and sometimes, my husband annoys me with his snoring and either I will make him go to another room so he can get in his sleep or I will leave the room so I won't be disturbed by him. But I think that you did the right thing, by having him go to bed. He would probably be more comfortable up there anyways. Oh, well about the snoring though, sounds like you're just going to have to let him rest. I normally will close the door to the bedroom and turn up the TV so I don't have to hear the snoring. I hope that your hubby gets better though.

My hubby snores a lot too. One night I was wide awake and he was so tired so he fell asleep first. And what I did was, I got my phone and I record his snore lol! It was hilarious! I played it and he was kinda annoyed but he just laugh at it. Hahaha
