The days of Romeo and Juliet :) No, I don't have anyone that would be willing to die for me and I wouldn't be willing to die for anyone else. I might dye some eggs for someone else, or maybe even dye my hair, but to actually lay my life down for someone else...that's a "no go" and neither would I expect someone else to die for me. There is only one Jesus.

Let me correct that statement. I would die for my kids, but as far as a significant other...I just don't know. If someone stepped in front of a car, would you try to save them from getting hit? If it was something like that, than "yes" I would die for someone else.

hmm i think we cannot really say that.. until it happens and he has actually proven that he would be willing to take a bullet for you.
Our bf would say so many things, they would promise you a lot of things and you will have to well acknowledge it but never really believe that they will. they probably feel that way now but eventually feelings, like people change.

When you're in a life-threatening situation, you become the real you.If you love life more than anything else, you save your own skin.If you love someone more than life, you save him/her.Sometimes people die for a complete stranger.Life is unpredictable.

i would die for my kids in an instant and i do love my husband and if it came right down to it i think i woul die for him also if i had to.
he tells me all the time he would die for me if he had to that he would do anything to protect me and i turely believe that he would. that is just the type of peron that he is. he has done so much for me and helped me thro so much that i believe that he will do what he can to make sure i am safe and he proves that all the time. :)

I think there ARE people who would sacrifice themselves for someone they love. It's not saying that they are more valuable, because it could be considered someone being too selfish to let the other live with the remorse. I think I would give myself up for my fiancé. But I can only be sure if I am faced with that situation for real.

I guess we can see examples of both people sacrificing their lives for the sake others and we can also see examples of people fending for themselves instead of protecting the person they are with.
I don't think it's something that we can really predict unless we are in the situation. The instincts of self-preservation and caregiving will have to battle it out.
