I have grown more and more tired of facebook, as it tends to take away way too much of my time. Quitting facebook is something that has been crossing my mind for quite as of late. Would you ever have the guts to delete your account?

I have deleted it twice now and made different ones. I am not like some people who will consistently update every moment of their life on to facebook though. I have an account now because there is a study group for my classes on there and so it helps if I am stuck on a problem, but I could delete it easily and not lose any sleep over it.

I feel you, some people have the need to say every little thing about their lives. Most of those things are pretty embarrassing, to say the least. Sometimes you know all their lives without even knowing them personally!

I don't use facebook very often, but I don't think I'm going to delete my account very soon. It is true that sometimes Facebook is distracting and without much use, but Facebook has proven to be helpful to me at times, especially since I'm still in school. One, there are times when announcements are posted through Facebook. Some of my classes even have a facebook group page where handouts and reading materials are uploaded so that we can just download them to save paper. Second, it is easy to reach people through Facebook. If we have a group project, I find it easy to talk to me groupmates who are my friends on fb. Communication is easy through fb.

I would but I know that I will open it again when I am not so busy anymore. I only deactivate it when I am really not into it sometimes. No need to delete it, you can just hide it. :] xx

So many people are beginning to become bored with facebook nowadays. I do not see the same amount of activity that I did in days past. I don't know if I would delete the account. Perhaps just not visit it as much. It is handy in that people can find you, like long lost friends and relatives. I actually found my best friend and some long lost relatives on facebook :)

Nah , I have a lot of will power I only go there when I can afford to just like I do here . I will only delete my account when facebook is no longer the most popular social network and go to the next one .

Sure I could do it and not be upset one bit. I usually only go to play words with friends. I will occasionally make a comment to someone who has posted something. However, I don't feel the need to be on FB constantly posting or commenting. I think people who feel they are wasting to much time on FB are probably doing just that and don't have a life. If you feel the need to be posting a picture of your dinner or a picture of your new shoes or nails just manicured. Then you don't have a life. It's not the end of the world if you delete your account. Come on you can do it!

For now, it is very useful in getting in touch with some people back in my home country. Most people I know are on Facebook and it is very easy to talk to all of them at the same time and have fun chatting on Facebook. So if I don't find it useful anymore, I will definitely delete it.

even if facebook bores me now I don't think of deleting my account there. facebook is my other way of communicating my friends aside from texting.

I am literally tempted to do it everyday. I suspended my account at least five times since I started it and as much as I dislike the concept of facebook, I can't help but to keep my account. Recently, I found out I don't really have to delete or suspend my account. I can just change my name to keep the people who annoy me from finding me! It actually works. I got relatives on facebook that can't even find me right now!

Yes! I would :D. I go on facebook just twice a day, or sometimes in weekends I don't ever go on it. I just use it because our class and high school has special groups where we post the news or in the group for the class[where just me and my classmates post] we post what homework or projects we have to do. So I would. I can use my phone to hear the latest news about my high school/class xD. But to be more on the subject : I think it's something too addicting for some people, and I can't understand why... I see everyday my classmates on their phones checking their facebook every minute, even in classes, in breaks, after classes...every where... I don't understand what's the fun thing looking at photos with people you, sometimes you don't know o.0... But I understand it's too addicting and it should stop. This way we will forget how to socialize face to face, or how to solve a problem in real life. We will solve our problem just on the internet, where a little screen can protect us, so others will not see our face when we'll lie. The emotions will turn into some emoticons , little lies, photoshoped photos and virtual love, without emotion... It sad to see that instead of evolution, we involuate... Some things which are made to make our life easier, if we use them in a normal way/rarely, may become dangerous for us[all the people] if we continue to use them ..in an addicting way... Don't quit your facebook, it might be useful if you use it rarely. Don't let any addiction to control your life and time! Have a good day!

I created a fake account and then deleted it. But if there is ever any situation when I am required to delete my facebook account then I will gladly do it. I don't think we should be using facebook that much at all. Personally I think its making people dumb.
