Lap Looms

I picked up some antique lap looms at the local flea market. I love them and have them displayed on one of my walls. One is a 10 by 10 inch square, one is 17 by 22 inches rectangle the last is a huge hexagon each side about 5 inches in length. I know how to weave with the square and rectangle but have no clue how to use the hexagon. SO here it is has anyone used one? Are they easy? Does anyone know where to learn to use one? It's so different and I want to do something on it!

I know nothing about this at all but I found a link that has a lot of information on it even though it is an Ehow link. Have fun! http://www.ehow.com/lap-looms/

Thank you...I wish I knew what she was talking about. I can follow it until the weaving part now I'm not sure what she is doing. A video would be best I think! I sat there with the loom on my lap at a total loss

I don't know if this can help you or not, but there is a large knifty knitter community online. Knifty knitter is a loom that is made by provocraft.com. they have looms in most shapes and sizes. I've tried them and they are really nice. There are online groups where people can even do irish cabling on these looms. I am sure if you did a search, they could help, as all they do is knit via looms. I've seen some of their work and it's amazing.
