From what i have heard everyone once in a his/her life goes to a psychiatrist. Whatever may the reason be it is said that they are always a great help. I haven't visited any yet but i am thinking of going to one to visit down the memory lane and some some issues which are currently affecting my life. Any thoughts? :]

If I have issues, I'd rather take them to God instead of a psychiatrist. He does a better job of helping and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I have been depressed and psychiatrists have helped me. I am not a person with tendency to depression, but I have lived through several very trying moments in my life. I`m glad I went to see a doctor for that. It helped me as much as other doctors have helped me for body ailments.

If you have something troubling you, it is best to have someone whom you can talk to. It can be a trusted family member or friends. However, if you think they are not able to help or you need professional help, going to a psychiatrist does help. Sometimes counseling will help depending what kind of issues you are facing.
