There are so many discount coupon/voucher site sprouting all over the internet. How many of you had bought something from these sites? I have tried more than 3 sites including the famous Groupon and Living Social. My experience tells me to stay away from buying hair, facial, spa, slimming or car services type discount. Very often these services will ask customers to add-on, top up, sign up a package so on and so forth. I've been through all that, so now I only buy products or dining related discount vouchers.

You can check out either Groupon or Living Social website. Basically you buy the product online at a discounted price or you will receive a voucher which you can use at some shops/restaurants to enjoy the discount. They don't check who owns the voucher but you cannot sell it at a higher price. I think you can let go of it at a lower price if you cannot redeem it at the stipulated period.

I always receive all these discount voucher offer from MilkaDay, Groupon and Living Social too. I have never tried to buy any of them. But I heard those vouchers from Groupon on buffet meals are really worth it. They are true saving and normally sold out fast! Thanks for sharing your experiences here, it is truly helpful!

I don't really try all these. Howver, Groupon is one of those I have tried in the past. That was for travel and the deal was good. It did help us to save some money compared to booking all the tickets on our own. I really liked the deal.

Thank you for the info regarding the services where the customers are asked to add on to the current voucher. That would be so embarrassing and irritating to the consumer, not to mention the waste of money and time. I have good experiences with items sold in Living Social since it's really a huge discount compared to its original retail value. I still am looking forward to buy a voucher from that site but I will also steer clear from the services type of voucher.
