What's about being "marked as best response"?

Sorry guys, I'm not really good at searching things/answers so I thought I'll just post this.
Being new with mylot, I'm still trying to know more about the site so, I recently opened a discussion about the "etymology of the word "mylot"- http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2757000.aspx
I felt satisfied with the answer from one of the responders so I decided to click "mark as best response". What then will that mark do? Is it going to add him money to his earnings. Shall I also do my best when responding to somebody's post to get that mark? Sorry for being so ignorant. Thanks for your response in advance.

Being marked as best response doesn't add up to the earnings of either member. It is simply giving a "pat on the back" to a member whom you think provided you with the best response or comment to your discussion.

Thanks jenny1015, yeah thats fine. I think this approach is good to encourage better relationship among members. I really appreaciate that there is kind of feature.

Welcome to Mylot. This is the best online community that you can find where you will not only earn money but you will also meet some wonderful people.
As the precious post already said that it doesn't actually give the person any money what it actually does is, it recognizes the best response in any particular discussion.
Just try to do your best in all the posts that you make and I am sure that you too will be awarded with best responses from other users. All the best
