Traveling experiences from the past gives me happiness remembering them. I love to dream about future travels in the coming years ahead of me. I am finding it interesting and a bit challenging to arrange all of my trip by train to Eastern Europe. Which are your destinations you feel happiest in? Mountains, seaside, cities, seeing wildlife or having a sporty adventure?

Hi Maxine, good evening. I always dream to travel anywhere of the world. But my budget does not allow me to do so. Yes traveling by train is comparatively cheap and comfortable. You have the facility to travel by train throughout Europe. But in Asia there is no such facility. You can't travel from Istanbul to Beijing without any break of journey. There is a plan to make a Trans Asian Railway. But it is not a easy task. I hope you will make possible a trip by train to Eastern Europe. I'm waiting to listen your adventurous trip to Eastern Europe.

Hi Bhanu. Thanks for your wonderful response to my discussion. There is a high cost for a Russian visa, Mongolian visa and Chinese visa. I fancy traveling from Moscow to Beijing on a train however it is very pricey. In addition it would take much time. It is good news that there is a plan to make a Trans Asia Railway. I will tell you all about my happy trip to Eastern Europe after I get back from it.

I feel happier when I can see the sea and sunsets and eat seafood! Travel pops up in my thoughts often and I also dream about people I would like to meet again.

Thanks for your superb comments. The seaside location can look stunningly beautiful at sunset. I hope that you will meet the people again that pop up in your mind. Good luck.

Oh it sure does, but cannot go anywhere so sort of stop it. I did a lot of travel locally when I was young, and sometimes wish I had enough money to go somewhere, that is, without sacrificing something else.

I like reading up on new places and somehow I think I find out more then if I went there was restricted to a certain area like the tourist traps. I know when we went to Alaska, we had to pay extra to see the really good sites like glaciers and parks and that. Otherwise we were restricted to either the ship or the tourist traps. I hope to get a bit more money, but right now that is out of the question.

I am delighted that you traveled a lot locally when you were younger. The cost of living is really high these days. I understand that you have many other expenses to manage. Being an arm chair traveler can be free and it can be fascinating. Good luck with your finances in the future.

I have several travel posibilities dancing in my head, but it all depends on whether I find or not a friend who can travel with me. There are some places I`d love to go to, but lodgings are difficult to get. But I`m always on the lookout for it.

I wish I lived nearer you so we could travel together. I really enjoyed coming to see you and I found your home country lovely. I know you are very keen on traveling. I can imagine you visiting more of the Caribbean Islands and maybe Peru in the future. Good luck and I am sending you a hug my dear friend.

I am with you in that I love to relive past travels while planning future travels. I live in Central Texas which is inland. I am not on the ocean nor close to mountains. My favorite places to go are to the ocean or to the mountains. I am thinking of relocating to a community that is on the ocean or in the mountains. I love traveling by train and I try to do so as often as possible but in the United States, we have very mediocre rail services. It's a shame. Amtrak, our rail service, is owned by the government and the government does not put much money into maintaining or improving service.

Hi Boston Phil. It is excellent that you love to travel by train. I traveled on Amtrak in 2001 and 2002. I hope it would improve and the trains could run more to time they are meant to. It is lovely to hear about where you live. If you move to a place near the sea or close to the mountains in the future then you could be really happy. I am delighted that you love to think about past travels and have a wonderful time planning future trips.

I spoke to my therapist about this last Friday ironically, because I am out of work at the moment, it would in theory be the ideal time for me to travel, I have all the time in the world, I have no dependents, no real rent to pay, I could board a plane tomorrow and go off for 3, 4, 5 weeks or even longer. Trouble is that doesn't fill me with any excitement or longing, I think it's my depression, anxiety, and fears of flying that is stopping me. And yet when I do go back to work, have my own place then I won't have any chance to travel. Life is weird isn't it my friend?

Hello there Wolfie. Yes, life can be weird and this is turning out to be a strange year. I think that the economical climate is rather depressing. I know that when out of work it can feel worrying. I know that you suffer anxiety, depression and a fear of flying. I think of a person owning a horse. He or she can either have a job and not enough time or all the time and no job but too little money. I did some temporary work when I came home from my round the world journey at an insurance company and a bank. At the insurance company was a horse owner lady. She did three shifts of 12 hours. Then she had the money and time available for her horse. I hope that you can get your ideal job and a wonderful place of your own to live in happily. I am glad your therapist helps you so well.

I think about travelling almost every day I love to think about the beautiful and interesting places I have visited in the past and I love to dream about the places that I want to visit in the future. I have already made plans for many trips in the future. I don't have the money for those trips at the moment, but I still love to think about them and read information about future destinations I like to think about the countries that I want to visit and how to combine the countries if I am able to visit more than one country on the same trip. I love to visit cities with beautiful buildings and interesting museums and art galleries. I also love to visit beautiful and peaceful villages in the countryside.

I know that traveling is a very important hobby for you my friend. I know you visited Asia earlier this year and flying there must have been quite pricey. I am delighted that you are dreaming of places to visit in the future. It is excellent to combine several different countries on the same trip. Thanks for your wonderful response to my discussion.

Being a mom can make you really lose all your energy coz a lot of things need to be done and kids solely rely on you. So thinking of just having to be away from the house even for just a few days would be really nice. However, it is not that easy, a lot of things needs to be considered. But luckily, this Summer vacation, I get to have atleast 2 weeks of vacation well, not alone really, but at least I am out of Mother and wife duties.

Yes, it does. I couldn't really go travelling due to my financial conditions lately... just to the family resort place. Now we're planning to travel to Vienna with my boyfriend for a day or two in the spring. I'm so looking forward to it! I enjoy cities the best, or any kind of places with loads of sightseeing places and places where I can educate myself. I'm not too athletic and nature-y, and I also hate those kind of holidays where all you do is sunbathe and swim, that's boring for me (I'm not even huge on swimming, either).

Vienna is a beautiful city full of stunning looking architecture. I can see you like to do lots of sightseeing where you can find out about the history and the culture. I notice that you hate the beaches where people bathe and take in some bright sunshine. Good luck with your financial conditions in the future.

I always think about travelling, and its a wonderful feeling. I often remember my past travels with great joy. I'm the type of person that needs to be in constant change, and I'm also way too curious for my own good! Travelling is just this... need that I have, this need that comes form inside me that I can't ignore. I always have to be on the move and see the most I can, within reason, of course. And budget... I usually feel happier in destinations that don't have loads of sun. I'm not a big fan of good weather, or of heat, I prefer foggy, dark or grey/ rainy kind of weather. Heat and sun just make me uninspired.

Thanks for your wonderful response to my discussion. I am glad you remember your past trips with much joy. I can see you have a curious nature and prefer cool destinations. It is great you explore a lot in many destinations. I think winter with its rain, fog, grey clouds and chilly weather would suit you best.

I have a travelling waiting list. I have itineraries planned before I can even afford to actually buy the tickets. I am either travelling, researching furiously about places I have tickets to or waiting impatiently for ticket deals. I get an itch when I don't have a ticket to go somewhere new. Although I don't earn much, I enjoy trying to figure out how it can work for me, how I can go where I want with the budget I have, or how to travel to several destinations in one trip. Of course, I also have to consider places I want to go back to. I prefer places with a rich local life, or filled with culture, or where I know people, or natural wonders, or even tourist spots, backpacking districts.

Thanks for your excellent response to my discussion. I am very happy to read about your travel waiting list. You sound like you have the determination to visit many of these places in your lifetime. Yes, traveling to several destinations on the same trip is a way to see more and spend less. Even though you don't earn much you are doing well saving for some future travels. I can see that you are also interested in revisiting places you have already been to. There are some places I wish to go back to as well like Australia.

In fact I like traveling. But due to my work and my family I can do whatever I like. We don't have very long time vacations. And it is often so crowded during the vacations, too. When the summer vacation is coming, then I will start to dream to have a travel because at least at that time my son doesn't have to go to school. All I need is to take several days off work but sometimes it is hard for my husband to do so.

I don't dream of travel often, having quite enough to occupy me at home just now. But if I were to dream, it would probably be of mountains and countryside with lots of space. I do enjoy a couple of days walking around cities to see the sites and absorb some atmosphere, but that wouldn't be my first choice any more.

While so far, I have been more inclined to visit hill stations and some pilgrimage places, in future, I plan to go to Goa, and some other places. However, right now, my personal expenses and credit situation is not good for taking trips for next few months at least.

Thanks for your superb response to my discussion. I have seen Goa on some excellent travel programs. I hope that you go there when you have more funds. Also from what I have read I recommend Kerala. That area has beautiful beaches and interesting backwaters. I think many Indian people are fond of visiting hill stations. Good luck with your next trip to one.

Travelling does pop up in my mind often. Am just back from Africa, in a few days I go back to Hungary but I am also already looking forward to go back to Malta (and visit Sicily in June). I also kind of like to go back to Africa during the rainseason (never been there at that time) which should be end of June or July. I don't think seeing wildlife makes me feel happy, although I wanted to visit Senegal in the past days. I am also not that much into sport although I would like to go backpacking and walking around. I love deserts, but also the seaside and mountains.
