What are your experiences with vector design for microstock websites?

Hello everyone, I'm happy to say that this is my first discussion. I registered on myLot a few days back and I hope it will be a nice experience. I have been thinking about this one for a while. I have signed up as a contributor to one of microstock sites, and my intention was (still is) to only upload vectors. I have about 25 vectors uploaded in the last year, and I've earned something like 5 dollars. They pay out when your account reaches 50 dollars. Which, at this pace, will be in 10 years! It looks like it's hard to make any tangible amount of money on these sites. Mind you, I would be happy just to be able to say "Look, I bought this pair of jeans from the money I made on microstock vectors". Right now, that's not the case. What are your experiences with microstock? Is this avenue worth pursuing?
