My house has got lizards. They are quite scary because whenever I step into the kitchen,I hear sounds of them scurrying away. Sometimes they climb on walls and drop down from above. There was once I accidentally stepped on the tail. Ewe... Is there any way I can get rid if them?

Hey Tehpau even I am trying to get rid of them. I use repellant even when I know they are poisonous. But dont have any option. Once my dad killed it with a broom. Ewwww... It looked so yackssss.. I think you should roam with a broom in your hand. Hehehe.. Just kidding.. Try some repellant..
Happy Posting

I went to the supermarket just now to look for repellent. There were this spray can type. I remember I bought it last time. What it did was make the wall slippery so lizards could not climb up. It does help much because I cannot be spraying it all over the walls and floor. Then I saw this trap thing. It is like a small cardboard box house with a sticky thing inside. I think this might work. So I am going to try this. Wish I can post photos here but right now I have not reached the minimum requirement to post photo.

I know that they can be a menace and even I am trying to get rid of them. But you must know that killing them will not actually work. They will always come back. I am still trying to find a way that they will just leave my house and never come back. There must be a way and I am still in search.

I know they can be scary sometimes. But there are ways that you can prevent them from coming to your home, than killing them. You don't have to kill to get rid of them.
You can put screen on your windows for them not to come inside, keep the house always clean. Some put egg shells to the prone area. There is also a device called lizard repellent, you dont have to apply it on your skin, this device will make strange noise and lizard will go away. You can spray air re-freshener and pesticide around the house. Lizard eat insects, so if there are insects inside the house, be sure the lizard will come inside for a feast. No insects, no/less lizards. Hope this helps you. Goodluck! xx

I think I'd prefer the lizards...

I live in Puerto Rico and from time to time we will accidently get one in the house but to get so many how is that happening? Do you leave your doors wide open? I'm not sure as to how to get them to stay out I just find it strange that you have that many in your house. I have never heard of that before. They are good for eating other bugs but I know I would be going crazy living with them in my house. I found a few options that you can use. One is get a lizard repeller that you plug in to the socket. The sound of this repells the lizards. Humans can't hear it but the lizards do. Two, you can get a spray bottle with water and tabasco sauce. Spray the area around the house outside. Lizards can't stand this. Then in the house when you come across one spray them with plain water they loose their grib and you can then grab them and throw them outside. With the tabasco sauce spray outside they will disappear. They tend to not come back to the location where you sprayed. So spray alot outside your doors. Good luck and I hope this helps you.

Lizards are harmless, dont be annoyed by them. Actually lizards eat mosquitoes and other insects. I think that is a good thing knowing that you don't need to spend anything just to kill bugs. And besides, it do not bring harm to the family well except for its poop.

I am freaking out just thinking about lizards being in a house. Everyone is saying let them stay but that is creepy. I'd rather deal with the bugs than deal with lizards. I am sure they move fast and by now are comfortable moving around you in there. I say find some sort of repellant. Something that won't hurt them, but drive them away. If it is really that bad, you might not want to but moving is always an option..
