Hello Jdalaqui, i don't watch those political jingles there on, just watch the debates and interviews rather than jingles and songs. we are the voting public and not all of us are stupid to fall for money and jingles we can really vote for people that can think, act and get it done. never listen or watch those jingles, it's just a way to make their presence but how they are gonna do it is questionable

Letranknight25. Thanks for responding here. Your insight is excellent and that's what we should be doing, let us listen to debates and forums for there we can get real insights. I am not referring to jingles alone by the way. I mean on political music is the sweet platforms every politician presents.

When you said "breaks their home", you mean they cheated on their wives? If a candidate is known to be a cheater of her wife, and would always be on the news having affairs, i would surely not vote for him. If he can cheat on his wife, what more with the people. For sure, because he has many girls to give gifts much more many children from amongst the women he sired, he will need lots of money in order to support them. So why would i risk my vote on him?

I hope more Pinoy voters see your way... specially those who voted and put Estrada to the presidency. But it is clear to me that our electorate is far from these mentality... I can't believe how foolish we choose our government leaders, from the past to the present. I am still hoping to see drastic changes in our electorate voting preference in my lifetime...

Most of the people who voted for him are the "Masa". He promised then help, but the help he gave was mostly "donations" during typhoons. I hope those "Masa" will learn a lesson already.

@romzee and SIMPLYD, Thanks for responding in here. Thinking people desires the masses to vote wisely as they should be, as we should be. But no matter how deep is our one desire for intelligent voting, many will still go for the popular yet unqualified public officials.

What do you mean "who breaks their homes?". Well I guess you just need to look at the track record of the incumbent mayor if you see he/she deserves to be given another chance then vote for him. But if you see that you need a fresh leadership then goo for the other candidates. The jingles you hear and see on the streets are just for psychological reason for you not to forget the candidate at hand.

Hello rsa101, Thanks for your good advise here. I am not referring to political jingles by the way but political platforms our politician presents. Good promises are on the air. I'm not listening to political jingles for I found them insufficient representation of a candidate. Who break their homes are those who break their own marriages.

Well platforms are just their plans to be delivered if they win the election. Study them and evaluate them if they can really deliver that if not then I guess you know what to do. Home wrecker politicians is a bad precedent for an aspiring politician to be elected. Since it shows that he could not manage his personal life more so when he gets elected where it just means that he will get to be with a bigger community or family. Although those are not included in the criteria when running for a political position it is noteworthy to consider a politicians with good track record in politics and family background.

copy that rsa1001. I agree on what you've said. We all know that politicians are always in the limelight thus their actions and values in life are also being watched by the public. Whether they exemplify an upright morality or not, they are seeding an influence to both young and old.

Politicians are also people and there are instances when they too have their marriage issues. What seems more important for me is how they are able to serve the people. Let as look at the issues surrounding the love life of Chiz Escudero. Do you think the romantic problems will in anyway negatively affect his performance as a senator and a future aspirant for the presidency? How about Coco Pimental? These politicians are far from perfect but who is? On the other hand, I am not voting for both of them since I remain undecided whether I will exercise my right to vote. What I am disillusioned with is not their personal issues but the rampant corruption in the government. It also saddens me that these elected senators are enjoying the money that should rightfully go to the underprivileged citizens of our country. Sorry for the rant.

Hi yahnee, you've mentioned one particular politician and ask me if his wrong romance will affect his political performance. I think it will greatly affect his performances. He will not be able to decide right on morals which you cannot take aside form politics. We don't need to mention as many negative possibilities on his political performance but we can't deny that indeed his wrong relationship is not helping him and it will not help us either.

If you mean that if we should vote for someone who was separated, divorce, or had issues with family relationships, well for me it's a good basis of seeing who they are as a person. This coming election, I still don't come up with any decision if I will go to the precinct and vote. I will just probably stay at home and relax. I already get tired of voting for someone who I think will be a good leader and end up disappointed that that person won and turned out not to be a good politician. I don't have any hope with our government anymore, sad to say.

hello donatello, thanks for your insight. Yea, its tiring to see how our leaders break away from the promises they made. However, we have a responsibility as good citizens of the republic to go out and vote. I hope we all vote.
