Haha, we are very much alike, Meumeu! :)
I search for the meaning online as well.. and yeah sometimes it makes sense.. and sometimes it doesn't...
I think it is because dream interpretation is not simple thing to do. There are a lot to consider in an interpretation, such as what you feel in your dream, and each symbol appears in your dream..

yes its seems dreams are very important and i used to interpret my dreams. Few months ago i was haunted with terrifying dreams where i was being chased by some unknown things, when i looked up at Freud's interpretation of dreams it said i was runing away from my duties surely it was true that i was running away from finishing my thesis but i guess dreams are messages from your subconscious mind and not divine intervention.

Yes. I agree.
At first I don't know any of that. I think every symbol in the dream has the same meaning to others. But I really think some symbols are general, like red rose is the symbol of love and intimacy.
People say, when we do dream interpretation, we need to consider our feeling in that dream. So, I think that's what they mean as dream interpretation is subjective matter.

I sometimes do, but not all the time. Most of the time when I do it, it is because the dream seems scary or I feel that this dream is actually trying to tell me something.

Hi friend, I rarely interpret my dream. My dreams are weird. They are far from reality. Some scenes in my dream like in movies. Sometimes I dream beauty and handsome man and their story. Sometimes monster in my dream this is terrible.

I believe in dreams and lots of my dreams came true.I almost always i remember my dreams.some dreams are wonderful but when is the best moment my mother or father wake up me,then i cant finish my dream. But proper interpretation of dreams is much more complex for majority. Interpretation of dreams is one of the most difficult thing and rather it have it roots in occult traditions and human collective unconsciousness .I believe what I like of my dreams and I always try to forget my bad ones.

I have never interpreted my dreams as I have never believed that dreams have some deeper meaning.I assumed it was merely evidence of the functioning of the brain.I always believed the theory that dreaming did for the brain what defragmenting does to your hard drive. That it's the brains way of reordering neurological connections. Connecting information contained in the brain in ways that are useful and removing connections that aren't useful to the brains functions.

good day hestylim,
most of the time, i am checking some books to have my dream interpreted. however, if the dream that i have encountered is like a nightmare then i will lift it up through prayers.

by morning you mean above 12 am?
What I read tell the same thing too - that actually we always dream when we sleep. But some of them we don't remember anymore.
Hmm, does any of your dream tell you what will happen in the near future??
Because I read, dreams can tell us what will happen in the near future...

I have so crazy dreams that I don't really interpret them, because I'm sure the result would be that I'm mad :D. But really, my dreams mostly stem from stuff that I've experienced throughtout my life in mixture with some TV shows and films I've watched. Like once I dreamed that I went to a university preparatory Maths course together with my favorite musical singer... when I'm not a huge fan of maths at all :D.

I would like to answer your question scientifically and based on facts.
We remember dreams when we wake up during RAPID EYE MOVEMENT (REM) period. This is the time when dreams occur. This is also the time when you see your roommate's eyes moving up and down, left and right as if watching on a screen. And this REM period occurs during sleep! Now, if you wake up during NON-RAPID EYE MOVEMENT (NREM) period, you will not remember your dream. During NREM, dreams does not occur. I also want you to know that there is an interval between REM and NREM and a person dreams 4-6 times a day. This is the reason you remember, or not remember your dream. This NREM period is also the reason you think you never dream on a specific day.
And I don't interpret dreams. However, I do believe that most dreams comes from our wishful thinking.
If we talk about the Bible, during the Old testament or when the Bible is not yet finished, dreams became the signs and guidance. But when THE PERFECT is finished, or the BIBLE is finished, dreams interpretation ceased (1Corinthians 13:8)

I see.. thank you for explaining about REM and NREM. I don't even know that before. :)
I use to just let it be, but since recently I read about that, I start to interpret it. Yes, sometimes it is the result of wishful thinking, sometimes it is the subconscious sending messages.. Because sometimes, we don't really realize what is inside our sub-con. Sub con is the most honest feeling and information about yourself (that's according to me) because in your conscious time (waking time), most of it covered by our ego, logic and etc.

Yes, I believe that dreams say something about me or my life, especially if I have problems. I try as much as possible to find meaning in my dreams and to interpret them or link them to the things that are going on or the things that occupy me at present. Most of the times I have dreams when there's something that worries me.

If I was able to remember my dream when I wake up, I usually check the Internet about meaning of dreams. I usually do this when I remember something symbolic like snake or blood or whatever. Personally, I think dreams have meanings and its only a subtle way of telling us something is meant to happen.
