Has anyone tried emulating their old school games? Recently I downloaded NES, SNES, N64, Playstation, and Sega emulators, and got old classic games such as Mario, Mega Man, Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, and such. It has been pretty awesome re experiencing these games I thought I may never see again.
If you don't know what an emulator is, it is a computer program that lets you play console games on your computer :)

It's been a long time i haven't played a video games... last game that i remember emulating was virtual fighter and maniac mansion. Right now i'm too busy at work so i don't have time to play some games.

Maniac mansion was built in DOS environment, I forget virtual fighter was for what system... probably super-nintendo...

I think to emulate is to copy, I am showing my age here but I love the really old console games for atari, like Pac Man, you can actually download Pac Man, there's also space invaders, asteroids, the list goes on. I remember spending hours and hours of fun playing atari. I never got into sonic the hedgehog but remember it being very popular at the time when it first came out. It's good that these games are being emulated, so future generations can enjoy.

I agree. I would much rather be able to play them on their original consoles, but it is difficult to find a good working one these days, so emulators have become an alternative for me to relive those games, and experience ones I never had the chance to play.
I remember those old arcade games too, though I didn't really pay many of them since I was just a wee lad when they were going out of style!
