in this day and age where everything are expensive and I mean very expensive almost everyone are scouring to save money. from using coupons, buying sale items, buying from the thrift shop using or recycling things, saving electricity, cutting down groceries and many others. As a mother can you give me tips on ways to be frugal? How will I save some pennies.

The best way to be frugal, is to buy only the most needed things in your house.
DOn't even go to the mall to window shop because most likely when you get hungry you get to eat in a fast food joint.
Learn how to live within your means and you will be able to make both ends meet.

Yeah you are right. Whenever we are at the mall we don't know that we are spending on food and drinks though we go home empty handed we always tend to spend. I am trying to avoid going to the mall because of that. Every small amount will add up to bigger amount and that's bad.

Yes, that's true. Every small amount when accumulated is already big amount.

The only way to be frugal is refraining from buying anything that is not inevitable or necessary. If today you buy unnecessary things, tomorrow you would not have money to buy necessary ones.I have learned this lesson, and perhaps that's the reason that I presently don't have any financial problem.Prices are skyrocketing continuously, but it has a positive side too.It discourages us from spending on unnecessary things.

I totally agree. I am trying to save every penny I've got. I don't buy unnecessary things anymore like clothes, make up and shoes. I just spend on food and groceries all the necessary items that we need in the household. But these days everything is pretty expensive though budget are limited we tried to maximize everything by saving and looking for a fair price whenever I go buy some groceries.

Everything has a positive and a negative side.Price rise too has these two sides. It inspires us to find out new ways to live a simple life.Although it is difficult, very difficult, but we have to do it.You,me and everyone living in this world is now facing it.In a way,we all are facing a tough challenge and we have to meet it anyhow.

You might be able to get a new bank account. I did that to get 125 pounds and access to an 8 percent savings for one year account. I get little girl clothes given to me by my sister. My nieces have grown out of them. I got an electric and gas supply on-line and pay it by direct debit. I am not having my gas on hardly at all and use less electricity. I use price compare on groceries. I only buy where it is cheapest. I put my kids toys in different boxes and bring a new one out each day. I mix wet and dry food for my two dogs. I have done some council subsidized children's activities this Easter holiday. These have been free or low cost. Good luck.

I save a lot by just turning off the lights if I`m not in the room, turning off the TV if I`m not watching and having less heat at home in winter. I use warmer clothes and that`s it. I don`t use AC or a dryer for clothes.
But my best saving was that I quit smoking. It is next to impossible, I still would want a ciggie, but this smoker is not smoking just now.

I shop at the dollar store and use coupons. There are several web sites that have coupons. I buy clothes from thrift stores and am learning how sew so I can make my own clothes. I shop at garage sales and find the best bargains. I know the economy is tough, but there are ways to save money. I also cook meals that will give me left overs.

We have a dollar store but its 2 rides from here. Unfortunately there are just a few stores which offers coupons and the item is not what we need. I love grocery shopping when its sale and buy 1 take 1 items. And items which offer freebies as well.

there are actually many ways...
always look for the cheaper yet good quality alternatives of goods, i.e. groceries, clothes, shoes, appliances, even vacation fares and accommodations. sign up for subscriptions on sale and promo announcements online. don't you worry because signing up are mostly for free.
and the most important thing is to live within you means and not above it.
i hope i helped you with my ideas. ;)

There are many ways you can save on things. For example, make sure you turn off the lights and any electronic appliances when you're not using them. Try to eat out less and cook your own meals at home, this is much less expensive. Maybe you could collect coupons if supermarkets off these and take advantage of certain offers that make groceries cheaper. Finally, if like me, you like to read a lot, sign up to a library rather than buying your books. Borrowing things is less expensive than buying them.
