Celebrity Death Match Video games?

I was wondering if the idea of 'celebrity death match' of sorts would interest gamers. The 'celebrity' I am concerned with, would be video game characters. For example, Pyramid Head Versus Garrador, Leon vs. Carl from GTA, etc. If you could have a scenario like Manhunt, and then choose what characters you could put into the scenario, and you would choose, say to be Leon, and then hunt down CJ, or choose to play pyramid head and choose to hunt down Garrador. What do you think? Would this be interesting?

Yea like super smash bro's sept with all sony characters or something. the thing is the rights. All companies must agree. and i doubt that will happen.

I agree there could be difficulties. However, if they did it the way the old Hollywood studios did it, all stars were under contract and stars had to be 'loaned' out. so the studio loaning out the character would get a share of the games profits.

I think that would be a great idea something similar to Super Smash Bros or PlayStation Battle Royale. They could make a very good game like this especially if they used a variety of game modes as well as a variety of characters from the different games.The only problem would be in licensing all the characters which would be owned by lots of different game developers as would their gameplay modes.Making the game expensive to make.
