I highly recommend wathing this documentary drama Holy Warriors Richard the Lionheart & Saladin in which are depicted two worlds a Christian and Muslim. There is described the power of Christian world in England the role of Christianity and religious fanaticism leading to murder. But what moved me deeply is an understanding of each other, Richard the Lionheart on the one hand and Saladin on the other. I remember this episode when King Richard was sick and Salladin understandingly and with real compassion sent him fruits as a gift to recover from his illness as soon as possible. Although this movie describes the life in 12th century unfortunately contemporary world faces the same problems but in a greater scale. Terrorism, wars, and lack of love are all it attributes. Unlike Richard the Lionheart and Salladin's attidude to one another modern world vividly lacks understanding. Every Christian and Every Muslim should watch this film.

Welcome to MyLot.
Can you tell us where we might watch it? I cannot see it on the listings of upcoming movies at the cinemas. Or perhaps it's on TV - on SBS, perhaps?
There certainly needs to be more examples of co-operation between Muslim & Christian countries today. Even the Founding Fathers in America's early history made peace with a Muslim country when they had every reason to go to war. I think a clipping from the original newspaper is with us today.
What I'd really like to see in a movie is when the crusades were being fought & a certain Christian Knight was captured & looked after by the Muslims & kept a diary of the whole thing. Things like this should be put into movies more often than the violent rubbish we see so much of these days.
