I love their designs, the bad news is it is not available in our country, but I want to ask if any members here who copied their design and ask their carpenter to customized it for you.
I am now moving to a new place and I wanted all my furniture to be minimalist, space saver and very useful.

I know its convenient, i know its cheap.
Personally i dont like IKEA, i dont like Starbucks.
I dont like the big corporations. Don't support those guys.
Support the small guy, support the underdog. And when the underdog, the small guy makes it big, stop supporting him, and support someone else, a new little guy... hahahahha :D
just my 2 cents. lol

i don't think IKEA is cheap. i don't think it would be cheaper to get someone to make it for you either. just go for some affordable furniture for now and upgrade as you go.

It is lovely furniture. Well designed, reasonably priced and practical. I have not used Ikea but have in the past cut out a design and given it to a local carpenter to reproduce. My bedside tables were down this way as space savera and still look great after ten years. Timeless. If I were you thgen I would make a note of the sizing - the proportions and this will help your carpenter. I am not expressing myself well but I mean the height and length etc

Hi airkulet, yes IKEA does have very pretty disigns for
furnture, however, its just made very inexpensively and
is not durable at all...I have never had any furniture
from there but I have seen it in others apartment..its
just seemed like great looking board not real wood...
so if there are no children around and you are super
careful you can get away with it for a few years as long
as you keep in mine its not durable....

I haven't, as IKEA is available in my country. But I think it's a pretty nice idea if you don't have IKEA in your country. I really like their designs and furniture styles, too. They are so my style - simple and minimalistic with some pops of fun creativity :).
