Today is my Birthday

Today is my birthday and I am away from my mother and siblings. Despite this, I choose to be happy today. I decide to be firm in staying in that state of happiness and not allow anything to ruin my day. Last night, I already prayed for myself as I approach another year of fruitful and productive life. Today, I prayed again and declared and spoke good things to happen. I started to receive text messages of birthday greetings. And although I did not make my birthday appear on my Facebook site, the very closest friends I got and my family did not fail to greet me. How can I not be happy when even on Twitter, Skype and Viber, I've got people remembering my special day. The downside to this is that, I cannot say no to promptings from groups of friends in my place for me to treat them. Well, I am so blessed that I am happy also to share my blessings. Do you find it irritating sometimes when not just one but several groups of friends would tease you and you are compelled to just treat them?

I would tease my friends to treat me on their birth days but I do not force them, It is okay for me if they refuse. So, i think you just have to pleasantly say no. hopefully they understand

Happy Birthday!
Now this treating thing is unbelievable for me. In my country it is not that common... I mean, your family you invite, but that's all, and no friend expects you to treat them on YOUR birthday. It makes no sense to me. I would tell them that I don't have the time for that, I guess, if I really was overwhelmed :D.

Hi! Haha! I actually heard that same comment from a friend of mine who's from America. Well, I really didn't allow myself to be annoyed on my special day. I treated close friends. I'm having extended celebration with my family because I decided to see my mom this April. Thank you for warmly greeting me.

Hi! Thank you for your greeting. I just got in touch with my mom. Yesterday, the exact day of my birthday, I was emoting and calling my mom will cause me to burst into tears so I delayed calling her. We Skyped! I love my mom very much I will see her this coming April.

Happy birthday! You would be more happy if you were with your family. But you are happy and accepted everything. You have very positive attitude towards life. Mylot is a very good site for sharing our feelings. Sometimes we like to spend happiness calmly and quietly. Just receive phones for complements from our friends and relax. But sometimes I enjoy teasing and don't feel irritating.

happy birthday, adval. friends do have this habit of teasing the birthday celebrant for a treat. since you are away from your family, i think you should give in to them. you don't have to take them to the most chic of places, just go to a place you enjoy. the important thing is being together and having a great time. have a nice day.

First of all, Happy birthday to you. :) May GOD bless you more. I can say that you are a GOD-fearing person. Nowadays, people are forgetting to thank GOD giving them another year of good life. Instead of praying they go out and drink and do whatever they want to enjoy life.
Well, regarding those "TREAT" which is a tradition since then,just like you sometimes I got irritated when they keep on telling me to treat them even though I have no extra penny to do so. Sometimes I just answered them that I am the celebrant so you should be the ones to treat me because it's my day. :D

Truth is that thanking Him who created me so that I could have happy birthdays year after year is usually the first thing I do in the morning when I wake up and in the evening before my birthday is over. I get to appreciate blessings that come with birthdays. Thank you for your warm greeting!

Yeah, most of the time birthday celebrants are often teased by friends for a treat. And since it's a very special day, we happily oblige to their promptings if we have the money. But there are others who just teased us jokingly for the sake saying something but sometimes it annoys us too. Anyway, happy birthday and wish you all the best.
