No 14th month pay this year

For the past 8 years since our conpmay started to give 14th month pay, this is the second time we did not receive the same pay as bonus. We waitd for the announcement yesterday to confirm if we will have the said payment
Many are expecting the said payment to help in financial aspects. Just like me, my plan to buy DSLR depends if they are giving the 14th month pay.
Hopefully we will receive the 14th month pay this year.

Whoa! Good for you that your company is giving out an extra month pay aside from the 13th which is mandatory. I am also looking forward for our mid year bonus. I have already planned where to use it so just waiting for the real thing to come up.

Good for you that you are receiving teh half of your 13th month. In our company, we will receive the said payment in december.

I thought that you already received the half of your 13th month pay as mid year pay. Good for you that you are receiving an extra bonus aside from the mandatory 13th month pay.

Oh no, no. I will be receiving a different mid year bonus. I still get my 13th month pay in full at the end of the year. So this is more like a 13+ month pay. Anyway, in my previous company, we also used to get the advance payment for the the 13th month bonus. That is around 4/12 of the 13th month bonus and the remaining 7/12 during the month end of the year.

Whether you will get the 14th month pay is something you can barely decide. Thousands of factors would be of great influence, such as the market operation or the strategies of the company. But you can decide what you think. Perhaps it's better if you presume that no 14th month pay this year and plan what you do next. If it is meant to be the extra pay, thanks to god sincerely; if not, hope it will not disrupt your plan too.

I do agree with you. I am already not expecting this to be given since the first quarter of the year had past. Just like what you said, sometimes it is nice to expect the worst so when you did not receive any, you will not disappointed that much.

Agree with you. Although there is nothing wrong having hopes in our hearts even we are expecting the worst scenario. Just like me, I was not expecting that we will have 14th month pay last year but still there is a little hope in my mind that there is until we heard the news that we will not have the said bonus.

Yes, glad to hear that.
Just a suggestion: keep hope in your heart. As to me, I assume things could be the worst case but I never give up. I don't expect everything is going well so in case I will get prepared mentally and behaviorally for anything. In this case I won't be disappointed too much and still living positively.

If 14th month is guaranteed to you, you should be receiving it. But if it is a bonus and is only given according to the discretion of the company then I think it is best not to expect so you wouldn't be disappointed. Right? I hope though that they will give it to you as I am sure you all have I worked hard for it.

I know that it was just a bonus and called 14th month since we receive the same amount as our 13th month. Yes this is not guaranteed and they said that we should pray hard until the book for the previous year closes. Last week, we received the news that there is no 14th month to be given. Many were really saddened by the news. I not that disappointed since I am not really expecting that they will give it. My wife just told me that if we got the said bonus, I can buy my long wished DSLR. I know there are other ways to get the money to buy that long-wished gadget. hehehe

Oh nice that you have 14th montb pay for the last few years unlike others like me in my company wherein we dont have 14th mont pay, just the 13th month. I do hope that you could still get it this year since it is really a big help and extra money as well.

14th month is considered as bonus and not mandatory. This is the announcement we are really waiting during our christmas party. However, this year they did not confirmed that we will get this but they just tols us to pray hard for it. Last week, we confirmed fromt he news that we did not get the said bonus.

I am all about bonuses, especially performance based bonuses because it benefits both the company and the employees who perform and deliver really good jobs. But of course, with the current economy, sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances that could dampen the company's good intentions. As long as the 13th month pay is there, and the company doesn't delay the monthly salaries of the employees then you are still in far better shape than other employees. But of course, we all want the best for all of us and there is no harm in hoping for the best.

That is one of the things I just thought of. Having a stable job that gives the salary in time is good enough. But of course, who will not be happy receiving additional bonuses like 14th month.

You depend on it and your company depend on you so if you think, you and your office mates did the best for your company for this year, I am sure you can have that 14th month pay.

we always did our best for the company. However, according to the mangement, the financial status is not as good as the previous years.
Some said that we will be very thankful if we will be given even half of our 13th month or even quarter just to motivate the one working for the company.
For me even we did not receive it, I will still be thankful that I have my work as source of earning.
